Sry mate, but the first fight WAS close. Clear win for Williams though.

PS: I knew there would be many undecided people about this... tough matchup!

id pick Margo to win a rematch he was very lack luster in the first meeting.

Williams isnt a welterweight though, so im not bothered about this fight at all, he should move up and fight someone who equals him in size.

I voted that "Williams has his number" although I don't agree with that phrasing. I lean towards Willaims in the rematch - but I do believe that Margarito took him lightly in the first fight and might come out stronger in a second fight.

I have a gut feeling that Williams will win again by decision

Carles, you may want to believe it was close but really man...it wasnt....I've rewatched that fight many times and it just wasnt close. This maybe tough for some people to fathom but it is indeed very Real....Margo did a little late in the fight but it was nowhere near enough:-(

Well Aztek, to be honest Williams made "easy" work of Margarito for MOST of the fight...even late in the fight Margo was only landing 1 or 2 here and there.
    Do you disagree?

if marg believes he can do it he would have called out williams to clear his record.. it happened the other way around and he didnt take it.

When it comes to rematches I tend to go with whoever won the last fight.
There are exceptions this is not one of them.

I don't know about the Margo fans, but I have no "difficulty" to understand what you're saying. But I do disagree.

Remember, if one judge had given Margo the last round, the fight would have been a Majority Draw. My personal scorecard was Williams by 2 points, which is a close but clear win for the Punisher. And most people I've discussed that fight with agree that Williams took it about 7 rounds to 5,very few had it wider than that.

All this indicates it WAS a close and competitive fight, although imo Williams was the clear winner on points. :good

It was a very close fight how can you say that?
Maybe you didn't saw that fight.
