    Well...

Cotto was operating with a greater lead on the scorecards going into the 10th, wasn't being bullied in the same way as he was in the first fight, hadn't shipped nearly as much punishment, and had the psychological advantage of knowing that his punches did have some sort of affect on his opponent.

But, even in the event that Cotto might have forgotten all of this as he went back to his corner, something tells me that all 21,000 fans in attendance would have found a way to remind him of how well he was doing every time he threw a punch. And something tells me that this support would have convinced Cotto to keep fighting in the face of whatever adversity Margarito could offer.

Cotto was winning this fight, no matter what Margo's supporters or his detractors might say. Maybe he forces the stoppage a little later. Maybe he simply hangs on and wins the decision. Either way, he wins the fight, and there's nothing that a half-blind Margo can do to prevent that from happening. Just too many factors working against him, and for Cotto, this time around.:deal

    I agree with Drew.

You could see as early as the 2nd round in the 1st fight that Cotto was gonna be in trouble eventually. He wasn't taking the punches well, and he wasn't doing a great job of keeping Margo off. He stayed away and won rounds after that, but eventually, the break through came in the 7th. I don't remember anybody in my gym(We were all watching) thinking Cotto would finish the fight standing after the 7th. He was clearly done and getting beaten down.

Margarito had no good rounds in the 2nd. Did hardly any damage. Never hurt Cotto. I'd have rather been Miguel in every single round. He beat the tar out of Margo and shut a whole side of his face down, and CLEARLY had the stamina to go another three. Cotto was calm, collected, and ready the entire fight; Being "excited for the next round" was an attempt by Margarito to not have the fight stopped, which the referee promised him after the 8th was coming. Cotto didn't need to act excited, he was winning.
