Margarito will straight demolish Berto if they get in the same building. Same for Collazo. I would love to see Margarito clean out this welterweight division. More of these top guys need to face off against each other. Seriously though, if Collazo's inside work was bothering Berto then Margarito will close him out inside of 6. Without a doubt.
no doubt. Berto still as much to learn. He could have fought off the backfoot and won a very convincing decision. Not the smartest fighter but he can still learn. At least he doesn;t fall for feints like he used to.
No doubt about it. It would be like the Cotto fight but likely worse for Berto. He has to keep working and use this close fight to get him to work harder.
they are in completely different levels of class. Berto showed tonight he is not elite material. That doesn't mean hes not an entertainign fighter to watch, but Margarito would make this a total mismatch
Berto is still young he's not in thoise guys class just yet. Collazo was his first real test. He needs to fight a mando and possibly rematch Collazo before thinking about taking one of the top guys at 147.
I have only seen this one Berto fight and only Margarito fight against Cotto. It looked like he simply imposed his will on Cotto untill Cotto literally collapsed under the pressure. That fight has a lot to do with my new interest in this sport. Cotto looked to me to be twice the fighter of Berto, so yeah, I would say Margarito would beat him easily.
Berto would be gone before round 6. The guy has major stamina and chin issues and Margo would beat him up badly. Light hitting Collazo managed to rock him and pressure him around the ring imagine what someone like Paul Williams would do to him.
