Margarito Will DEMOLISH Berto

Well, Berto didn't seem to think of that last night and he was losing that battle. He was told by his corner to change, but didn't. Even his father was yelling it from the side. Problem is both guys come in with game plans. Collazo got the memo, he had his own.

Anyway, Berto is NEVER beating Margarito, why? Because Berto's camp will never put him infront of the Tornado. Because they know, and we all know that Berto would get raped in there with that beast of a man.

So you can say, change his gameplan this, fight from a distance that, but the REALITY is that Berto will not, I repeat will not be fighting Margarito because it would destroy his career.

Infact, I can see Berto never really acheiving Elite status. Maybe he will. But I think there are too many game fighters such as Clottey that will clearly mop the floor with him.

 

Doesn't matter if Berto tries to run or fight. If he runs he will gas in a few rounds from the pressure and poor stamina or if he tries to stand toe to toe Margo would knock him out even sooner. When he steps up against any top welter with punching power his chin will fail the test as it's worse then Cotto's by far.

Now I always knew Collazo was featherfisted but I never expected him to gas as badly as Berto. As a matter of fact I can't recall the last time he was so tired in a fight so you have to wonder if he does his road work or perhaps his inactivity really cost him last night.

 

Williams should try fighting someone with a pulse and forget about Tony, or come back down to 147 and wait in line to become a mandatory. Otherwise STFU and GTFO!

yea, i too kind of get the sense that Berto is a long way of fightng Margarito. He is no where near ready. I think he first should rematch Collazo, and then move on from there. Margarito at this stage is definitly not right for him. He needs a few more matches to progress. He should try to get a few solid defences of his title before he goes anywhere near margo IMO.

 

Berto is short, but look at how bulky his frame is kid, dont lie to yourself Berto is a full fledged welter weight.

 

I thought the same thing after the first 4 rounds of the Berto-Collazo fight last night, I was goingto make a thread on it but someone beat me to it. Berto should duck Margarito if he duck anyoe because Margarito has a lot more power and chin than Collazo and doesn't stop coming. Margarito would stop him within 6.

 

the only way to beat Margarito is to either have superhuman punching which Berto dosen't have, or to be patient, relaxed, smart, quick, and outbox him. Berto dosen't have the patience or discipline to do it just yet.

 

Berto is a Cintron in the making for Margarito... in fact i think that Cintron has a great change to stop him as well.

 

I like the way Berto came out in the 12th. Too much hype from HBO thought, as usual. Yes, I would say MArgo destroys him.
