margarito would kick quintana's ass

As long as Quintana gasses late, I could see this happening. For all the "caveman", "crude", and "slow" that gets tossed around, Margo has power, knows how to put effective combos together, and is much more experienced than Williams.

Careful though, Quintana is going to be popular around here for the next few weeks.

 

Oh hey he did what he had to do to win. All i'm saying is that watching it looked to me like he was biding his time later on in the fight, just picking spots to work and then burrowing into Williams when he didn't want to trade.

And he can't fight Margarito the same way. Or anyone else for that matter. He did what Chagaev did to Valuev in that he used alot of foot movement early on then just didn't stay at the big man's range. But I still despise holding very much.

Williams initiated most of the clinching, Quintana did most of the holding.

 

Sounds to me like you need to rewatch the fight. Williams was trying to work and Quintana was closing the gap everytime.

 

Quintana will KILL Margarito by UD. AM will take the beating of his life en route to another LOSS. Its not close and it will likely be an aesthetic thing of beauty as Quintana's accuracy and defense will routinely and cleanly dominate.

 

It was a bull**** stoppage.

No but I'd have liked to have seen some more regulation of the sloppy **** that was going on inside. That has nothing to do with Quintana though. But everything to do with Williams and the REF.

I think what it amounts to is that Williams just didn't have the power to keep Quintana from making it an ugly fight. Quintana had no fear of just going in and grabbing on to Williams. Williams just looked weak. You gotta expect the faster guy who is the better boxer to land the cleaner shots. But when that little guy is inside and shoving you around there is a problem.

Margarito would not be able to hit quintana with anything. His movement offset a guy that throws more punches and STRAIGHTER punches then him. Margarito has nothing coming. A slick southpaw would make him look like a complete and utter bum. :yep
