Of course being ripped means something, it means the fighter is training to their fullest. Remember Oscar vs. Sturm?

 

IMHO, Cotto doesn't like Margarito and never liked him. He always appeared to me to be uncomfortable and/or tense in Margarito's presence. Cotto didn't have that same quiet confidence looking in Margarito's eyes in the face off. Cotto looked a little crazy. Possibly conncerned.

Both have great stamina and good powers. But Margarito doesn't have the skills to beat Cotto.

Cotto is taking this fight for granted because everyone gives Margarito zero chance,he is supposed to lie down and give up in the very first round, but what if Margarito is tough? Well, I think he has a good chance to knock Cotto out, whatever, Margarito is a huge underdog, has zero chance, but.......

I really do not think that Margarito will lie down and give up, no way.

 

Don't think Cotto is the type of fighter to take anybody lightly. Last thing Cotto would want is to come up short against a Mexican fighter he is supposed to beat, and who has a punchers chance.

Margarito has a reach advantage, but he, like Diego Corrales doesn't fight on the outside. Just because a fighter has a natural advantage doesn't mean they will use it. Margarito has spent his whole career fighting on the inside and has always been one dimensional. What makes you think he will all of a sudden become a complete boxer?

Cotto will fight from mid range and counter Margarito in a painful bout to watch. Cotto is the more addaptive fighter.. Only thing Marg has over Cotto is chin. Which wont mean much when he isn't able to hit Cotto, and Cotto sits on his punches all night and breaks him.

I'm not a Margarito expert but I've seen about 12 of his fights and I have to respectfully disagree completely with that statement. I just watched the Lujan fight again last night and Margarito spent the entire fight on the outside. Literally, the entire fight.
