Margo will get schooled then be known as "overrated" "Cotto shouldnt of been fighting him anyway, it was always a mis-match" etc etc

I think Cotto will force Margo into submission in the 10th round.

    No, it doesn't.

Lots of guys have been trounced that were superior technically. Having more technique helps but it doesn't autowin.

Remember at it's core boxing is a fight. It's two guys getting in the ring and punching each other until one drops or gives up. Now when it comes to fighting you cannot rule out willpower, durability and relentless assaults. Nor can you rule out styles and how they mesh.

Correct if I'm wrong but didn't Margarito decline a fight against Cotto last year to fight Paul Williams? If so, how does this effect this fight, if any?

If Arum wanted Margarito to fight Cotto last year wouldn't it have happened? Would Margarito still be in Bob Arum's good graces? Would Margarito be getting this second shot?

Look what happened when Margarito "opted out" of the Cotto fight last year to "retain his belt" and fight Paul Williams - Cotto got a fight with Zab Judah and did 20,000+ in attendance selling out the Garden's main hall for the first time in a long time for a boxing event.

There have obviously been alot of closed door sessions at Top Rank, and both Margarito and Cotto are promoted over there. To me it seems pretty clear, in theory, that it isn't quite as simple as Margarito simply turning down a clearly more lucrative, higher profile opportunity to face Miguel Cotto and take the Williams fight. My guess is Top Rank acted as a team, made agreements, and are fulfilling those promises on July 26th.
