Just watched Maidana-Morales, great fight, the only fight i somehow missed last year, I scored it 115-114 for Maidana, But i was wondering why Morales was allowed to continue with one eye totally shut compared to Margarito being told off in his rematch with Cotto? Does Nevada have a more liberal commision or did Margarito's eye problems via the pac fight make doctors extra nervous about him?

I'm thinking maybe the commission new in advance that Cotto has some serious problems with his eye already.
I mean this might've been downplayed by the media for the fight to happen, but a broken socket plus a seemingly non-responsive eyeball is bad news.

And there was more reasons to let Morales continue cause fight was competive but margo-cotto 2 was a shutout for cotto when it was stopped. And of course it might have mattered that margos licence was already almost taken away from him because of his eye..

Just when Margarito was landing more shots, and when it was about to get real interesting, they ended the fight, some people will say Cotto would dominate those rounds more convincingly, others will say Margarito could have stopped Cotto, others like me just wanted to see those last 3 rounds. Because it would be the best part of the fight, we might have gotten the Round of the YEAR. The stoppage was good for cotto, good for Margarito's eye, bad for the fans.

stopping it was the right thing to do. His eye had completely shut and the rules state ithad to be stopped.

But I agree, as a fan I wanted to see the last few rounds.
