Margarito's Wraps Get A Full Hour On One Of The Biggest Radio Shows In The US

I only caught about 15 minutes of it. The Tom Leykis Show, based in Hollywood CA, spent a full hour (4-5pm PST) talking about the controversy surrounding Margarito's handwraps.

A hotel employee working at the establishment members of Team Mosley were staying in Los Angeles for the fight, called in and said that someone from Team Mosley, possibly Nazim Richardson, showed him pictures of the foreign objects recovered by the CSAC. He descibed them as 3 inches across, 1 inch thick ( <--- which cannot be right). These could have been the same pictures Richard Shaefer also had access to, if true.

Anyway, people were THRASHING Margarito. This was a bloodbath. Margarito's reputation has just officially been slaughtered in the public forum. In the mainstream public forum. People who had never heard of Margarito only know him now as 'the new Tonya Harding.'

The sport itself didn't fare much better.

The host, Tom Leykis, used the "..black eye for boxing.." card on everyone.

 

That's something I'd like to know myself. I want to hear the full hour.

It was somebody who claimed to be part of the hotel staff where Team Mosley was staying. The picture part of it sounds real, as there were pictures taken, but I agree it's good to be skeptical. Still, I didn't get the impression at all it was a phony call. I doubt very seriously the objects were one inch thick though. Very little chance of that. If they were an inch thick - then GODDAMN! :shock:
