There's a good article on the front page of ESB, it's worth reading. The consequences could be so big, they are going to be very careful. Also, it says in that article that one of Margarito's gloves was already on and signed off by a California Commision official who was joking around with team Margarito, speaking in Espanol, when Nazim entered the room. When he didn't like the wrap he could see, he made them take the other glove off too, and the plaster like substance fell out of it's wrappings too. ***** See that's where this **** is gonna get super hairy, the California Commision is gonna be tryin' to cover their own ass here too. Just check the front page, the article has a picture of a big bomb going off.
the has happened before a few times: Boxing trainer Mzi Mnguni has expressed shock in what termed a career threatening attempt by boxer Edward Mpofu, who was found to have used illegal methods against Thanduxolo Dyani on Monday night. Known as "The spoiler", Mpofu was alleged to have inserted plaster of paris into his glove bandage, in an attempt to gain unfair advantage against Dyani in their junior lightweight bout at the Orient Theatre in East London. Mpofu's antics were discovered by Mnguni, who suspected something was "dodgy" about Mpofu's gloves when he went to shake his hand after Mpofu's points loss to the young Dyani. After noticing that the veteran fighter's glove was a bit hard, Mnguni asked Mpofu to remove his gloves, but the fighter's management team allegedly instructed him to run to the dressing room. Police were then called in and Mpofu was arrested and detained at the Mdantsane Police Station, where a criminal charge was open against him. "Funny enough, he went on to lose the fight despite his antics. I find it very strange that there are people who use potentially deadly methods like this, when we are busy trying to curb unnecessary injuries in boxing," Mnguni tells sabcsport.co.za. However Mnguni says he would let ruling body Boxing SA to deal with matter, after having unleashed Mpofu's alleged antics. "I won't judge him, that is BSA's duty...but if he's found guilty, that is when I'll condemn him." BSA spokesman Loyiso Mtya could not be reached for comment, but he was earlier on quoted as saying the body would decide on the punishment for Mpofu.
they're bullshitting...they just dont wanna give the proper punishment to a fighter who pulls in as much money as Margarito it's "The Man" behind it all...
No prob. Sometimes really good ones like that slide down the front page real fast and we don't even see them. It's got a lot of what we are wondering in there.
It's probably it's title and picture that gets its attention skimmed over... I mean cmon "Unclean Hands" doesnt sound like its relevant to the Margarito case...and the picture of the mushroom cloud isn't a good indicator of the article either. Although after reading, it's very poetic. But yes...very good article indeed.
they're not gonna investigate ...this **** will get swept under the rug just like the rest of the seedy **** that goes on .. the comissions and the promoters and everyone involved don't want it getting out that there isn't proper regulations on a sport
Ya, the article provided no new information......MY ASS! The article provided good insight as to what is currently going on. The truth will come out and it's not looking good.
