    Forget Pac/Floyd for now.

Who do you think has the inside track to be Pac's next opponent(NOT who you wish he would fight) and how would it do PPV-wise.

I am pretty sure it's either margo or cotto, and my money is on a margo/pac fight outside the US under the guise of "hey look, we're having fights in other countries!"

Id prefer Pac-Margo, action packed for the JMW and a different name. That said, Bradley or Williams would be much better.

If we have learned anything in the past year, it's that the public will shell out for big, competitive fights (at least in theory).

Pac/Cotto and Mayweather/Mosley were both supposed to be competitive fights. Pac/Clottey wasn't. Pac/Cotto II or Pac/Margo is similar to Pac/Clottey IMO. 700-800K max.

Pac needs to fight a legit challenge to bring himself back over 1MM buys.

Pac/Williams would do 1MM, I don't care that Williams "is not a draw". People will buy if they think it's a competitive fight.

Sadly, I'd say it's 70% were looking at a Cotto rematch to 30% chance we see Pac/Margo.

This is true. But PW is more dangerous than Margo or Cotto and is not a top rank fighter. If Bob plans to cash out on Pac with void next year, why would he risk putting him in there with PW.

Its all a load of bull.

Pac-PW would have been an ok consolation.

The two obvious choices. IMO Cotto has a better chance(to be made) overall.

who cares, I made the mistake of ordering the pac vs clottey fight, I would not order margo, or cotto waste of $. The only one I would order is pac vs jmm at 140 lbs but we all know that won't happen, better question is who will may fight next?

Yeah, Pac will catch some heat for fighting either Cotto or Margarito but the bottom line is those two have the bigger names and either of them fights will
possibly net Pac a coveted "8th division" championship.

My guess is either of those fights will make around the 1mil PPV buys(Cotto slightly less since he was already easily defeated)!

realistically, PW and Martinez are too much risk and Bradley and Berto are not well-known enough by the general public.

JMM is probably 3rd in line if looks great against Diaz!

  12. i just can't envision Margarito winning against Pacquiao... but then again, I didn't think Pacquiao had a chance against De la Hoya or Cotto. I guess impossible is nothing. I want to see it.

definitely not JMM or Williams. Not because of any unwillingness from Pacquiao, but because (as always), Arum will want to in-fight. It'll be cotto or margo for a 154 lb. strap.

What's your guess on the PPVs for either fight?
