In the last month, De la Hoya has felt a backlash from the boxing fans for brushing away the numerous challenges made by Margarito - and his insistence on going through with a fight against the much smaller Manny Pacquiao, holder of the WBC lightweight title. According to Margarito, he doesn't think De la Hoya has any intention of fighting Williiams, and is simply using his name to save face with the boxing public.

Margarito wants De la Hoya to prove him wrong. He says since De la Hoya won't accept his challenge, he wants him to go through with a fight against Williams. He doesn't think De la Hoya-Williams will ever happen, but he wants the public to know that he wants De la Hoya to take the fight.

"I thought Oscar would stop lying by now! Now he's trying to deceive the people into believing he is considering Paul Williams as his next opponent. I can't wait to hear what his excuse will be as to why he decided not to fight Paul Williams," Margarito said.

"Oscar, all you're doing is burying yourself into a deeper hole. If I were you, I would take the Williams fight and hold onto whatever integrity you have left."

Haha yeah sums it up pretty well really. Hopefully this pressures builds a bit more and Oscar's pride makes a decision, not his business-mind.

 Good for Margarito. DLH: fight a real opponent or get off the pot, meaning, retire.

If everything goes the way I want it to, negotiations will again FAIL by Friday afternoon with Manny Pac, and OScar will find himself with some tough decisions to make. :good

If Williams isn't a real opponent then who is?, in reality a real opponent for Margarito would be the two fighters that recently offered him chances to avenge TWO losses in Santos and Williams, but no those are ignored and everyone is alright with it.

Margarito is calling Delahoyas integrity into question????? Delahoya fought a prime Tito, Prime Mosley and moved up to Middleweight to fight Bernard Hopkins, a guy who later captured the ring Lt Heavyweight belt. He is semi retired, not a major factor in any division and is simply looking for a farewell fight. Yet, Margarito is calling HIM out!!!!! LOL

I'll say this: Margarito, look in the ****ing mirror! You have unfinished business with the guy some say is the top welter, ahead of you....who defeated you last time. You can also clear the air on the Clottey debacle by rematching and trying to beat him convincingly while he has two good hands. Why are you calling out Delahoya.....oh yeah, money :yep We know where your integrity lies :good

Margarito has unfinished business with Williams himself. Of course he would rather fight DLH than the man who conquered him.

Try to take off your Oscar manlove colored glasses off for a minute, and think rationally. Oscar's dignity was called into question when he was serious about actually wanting not only to "fight" little Manny Pac, but also **** him over financially. Oscar de la Hoya has no dignity. His unwillingness to face Trinidad in a rematch and his choices of alternate lifestyles prove that.

there is definitely no chance in hell dlh will fight williams. its just as risky of a fight as margarito but with much much less reward because williams is still a nobody while margarito just made himself into a superstar beloved by all the real boxing fans with his sensational performance in the cotto fight.

like you i hope the pac fight falls through. i am seriously thinking that pac just doesnt want to move up that much in weight and give up so much size to dlh. if he was just after the money he would have taken the fight already. its great to have a p4p champ with a sense of dignity and honor.

Margarito sounds thirsty, if he needs the money that bad then he should have taken the 4 Million that Paul's people offered him, I am sure that is a lot more than what is going to make with Clottey.

the $4 million was not offered to margarito. it was offered to arum. arum would then take a big cut of that because if margarito fought williams arum would not be promoting it. educate yourself.

How much of a cut would Arum take? Also, he was offered 50% of the revenue if the $4mill wasn't to their liking.

Uh, yeah, that's the point: Williams is a real opponent, but DLH won't fight him. Maybe Chris John is looking to step up in weight.
