So who thinks it would've helped Margarito if he was allowed to come in on the scales at the Jr middleweight limit of 154lbs for the Pacquiao fight.

Yes. Margarito would've immediately had the hand and foot speed of Prime Roy Jones Junior and Pacroidiao would never have fought him so the outcome would've changed drastically in that both Floyd and Pac wouldn't have even fought this beast.

No bearing on the outcome of the fight. Pacquiao is simply put, better than Margarito at everything. Pacquiao was probably teaching spanish lessons that night.

I think pacquiao wouldve still won but yes it wouldve made a difference.. that's why they had the catch weights.. four pounds is ten more pounds on fight night..

It would have made winning that belt more legit, and still Margarito was not champion there. He fought 147 always. One fight there does not mean he was ranked. Manny should not have won the 154 pound title.

If that's the way you want to interpret it, man.

Catchweights are imposed to level out the playing field somewhat. There was a 15lb difference between both fighters. Had Marg been allowed to weigh in at 154, he could have came into the fight 170lbs vs Pac's 148.

Why not? On fight night Pac fought a full fledged MW who weighed 165lbs.
