Yeah for real how can you support this guy ? I went to the game was on the 50 yd line behind the Jets bench when Cruz caught on fire I was like They better have that footage on Hard Knocks !
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gy6CgpBrWwY&feature=related[/ame] According to Mosley, the knuckle pad was soft--case closed According to California's chain of custody laws, team Mosley should not have been allowed to take possession of the pad--case closed Much of the kangaroo case was based on Margarito's perceived remorse. http://www.dca.ca.gov/csac/about_us/meetings/20100818_agenda.pdf While Margarito was inspecting the pad in court, the prosecution asked him what he made of it. He said that it did not seem dangerous or even illegal to him. On that confession, the judge then decided that Margarito was still rehabilitated and unfit to box. So no matter what Margarito said, GBP money would make sure of trumped up charges
It's obvious that they're making an example of Margarito. They don't need concrete proof. In the minds of most boxing fans, he is a cheater, plain and simple. That's enough to give the sport a black eye. Right now boxing is in rough shape. They can't reward this guy with a big money fight against Pacquiao in light of what he's been accused of. How would that look for the sport? Honestly, I don't really blame them. The guy did something wrong, directly, indirectly, whatever, and he got busted. Tough ****.
This ****'s all for show! It's not like Margarito was asking for early parole. Even common criminals get a chance to redeem themselves when they complete their sentences. Guilty or not Margarito has done his time!
Ha...it was team HBO/GBP/CSAC that exaggerated the whole thing but nobody really trusts that affiliation. These commissioners need to investigate the facts and circumstances before going hog wild with Kalifornia decisions
That may be true, but my point is that an accusation is almost as good as a conviction. The damage is already done. Maybe it's not entirely fair. That's politics.
The vote was 5-1 against Margarito with John Frierson (the only commissioner with any boxing experience) voting in favor of Margaritos reinstatement. Margarito should do what Ali did when he was discriminated against, and that is fight outside of America. Ali did quite will fighting outside of America until he was finally allowed to fight in America again. Arum is a graduate of Harvard Law School, so he should find the best way to settle this bias. However, I do not like promoters, none of them.
Margarito will continue to make a living in he boxing world(at least for a while) Quote from a recent article: "When Pacquiao fought Clottey, Margarito, of Tijuana, Mexico, was in attendance and was routinely shadowed by large groups of supporters whose attention rivaled that paid to the popular Pacquiao."
I dont think Arum is doing his job here. He is going half-arse through the motions and probably to avoid attention to his own past. However, the fans have a right to know what really went on and is going on Margarito is afraid to offend the court after the latest judgment against his so called lack of remorse but he needs to make a youtube about the pad, the chain of custody, his trainer etc etc... But then again, it never really helped me to be boisterous and unhumble in these situations
Will be a huge loss of revenue for American boxing if he fights outside of America. America lost lots of money from Ali's fights outside of America.
Its funny how someone like you who blows headbutts way out of proportion, critisizes fighters of having their own judges etc, but you'll stand behind Margarito who had his license revoked because premade knucklepads with a white substance smeared on them were found in his wraps? Hmmmmm
