    Cotto by KO/TKO = +300 or +400 when the odds come in.:good

And here is a tip with betting, you don't always have to bet on + odds. If you laid down 2700 on Cotto, you win a grand at -270, is a grand not a good bit of extra cash for the week?

And we're dealing with a certain Cotto victory here, by all reasonable analysis.

I agree with everything you said. Cotto by stoppage is the bet I'm thinking about. I can't wait to see Margo get exposed once again. Clottey was the first to do it a green Williams beat him at his own game and now finally Cotto will finish him off.:happy

That's what I'm thinking as well. I remember many thought after Margo lost to Williams he just wasn't that good. Then he beats Golden Johnson, and Cintron again and he's better than Mayweather. I don't understand the logic.

The only thing we have to worry about Pimp is how the reaction to the surprise is going to be. I am a Mayweather critic, but currently I am SO SICK of the constant blasting he's getting, it's gone from legitimate, to completely ridiculous and absurd and it's going to get worse.

They are going to name Cotto P4P #1 in surprise of the one sided victory(because they all believe Marg's a legit top 20 p4p:nut:rofl:patsch)and we're going to have to view the nonsense for a long time. Brace yourself Pimp, brace yourself for more ridiculous Mayweather out of hand bashing and the new coming all time levels of Cotto love.

Hell, I am a big Cotto supporter, but I fear the reaction.

Has there ever been more hype on an ORDINARY 1 dimensional fighter as there is for Margarito? Then everyone who beats his ass gets hyped up to even more extraordinary levels, all the while, genius fighters like Guzman get no regard and little chances for matches and promotions.

I'm going to have to make a detailed thread before the fight asking people to calm down about the one sided destruction they are about to witness and asking the Margarito fans to absolutely slap themselves to begin with.:good

Ahh ****.. Now whats the mathematically explanation with this?

    I get the + thing if I bet 600 and the odds are +160 I get $1560.

    what about the - odds?

I know and it's fuicking hilarious. Golden Johnson was brought in to rebuild Margo's image and make him look good after he was outworked by Williams. Cintron was never really anything more than a C+ guy with good power and froze up the first time he saw his own blood. If somebody like Clottey can get in his ass imagine what an elite fighter like Cotto is going to do to him.:D

Well Miles, if you can, join up on our effort next week to bring realisation to the up coming explosive reaction to the win.

They are going to cite how Cotto has improved, when he's been at the elite level ALL ALONG, this opponent just being perfect to destroy and another notch on his belt as the current supreme Welterweight.

Does a destructive Marg victory move him up P4P? Maybe 1 or 2 spots, but they're going to blow this up to scary levels, some of these morons even wanted to move Cotto up for destroying Gomez with such ease...:rofl

No, you get near a thousand, probably around 900, for +160 on a 600 bet on profit, plus you get the original 600 back.

The minus odds on 600, at -270, you get something around 220$ or so in profit.

Cotto by KO, bet 500 and get 1500$ in profit, thats what I'll be doing. Bye bye Marg and his idiotic ****ing fans.:happy

I'm not saying Margo can't win. But if Cotto boxes and picks his spots, then I see him with a wide UD or late TKO. I just don't understand the logic of how he beats a guy he already beat, and people have him beating Mayweather.

If Cotto boxes and counters with good combo's, he TKO's Margo one sided late.

If Cotto smothers Marg(As Marg is effective mid range and poor inside)and rips him repeatedly with combinations, smothering Margs offensive, workrate, pushing him back and landing at high number off of his powerful jab, he TKO's Marg even sooner.

You'll see Margs workrate down in half either way. This is a mismatch.

I got in very early (the day the odds came out, I think it was the weekend of the Calzaghe-Hopkins fight) with Cotto to win at about -160 odds.

Also, I'll be going very big on Cotto by KO, Margarito to get knocked down or out, and small on Cotto by TKO 7,8,9,10.

We're going to see Cotto (an elite pressure fighter who punishes faces worse than anybody in the sport and kills his opponents to the body) at the height of motivation, looking to impress against a sloppy B level volume puncher who has no defense, average power, a face that swells/cuts easily, and IMO is fading slightly at this point of his career. Cotto is going to absolutely destroy him.. I haven't been so sure about a + KO victory line in a long time.

Also, I was arguing with someone who was telling me not to bet on Cotto by TKO because Cotto will choose to box a lot more (like he did in the late rounds against Mosley) and he has "recently realized that boxing safely is more effective and easier than breaking down his opponents with nonstop pressure".. a lot of people seem to think this way because of the Mosley fight. The difference is, Cotto had things to worry about against Mosley, who although was way past his prime, was a tricky, quick fighter who could surprise him and didn't get affected by Cotto's pressure the way his other opponents did. Mosley has an iron chin, pretty solid defense, and a face that doesn't swell/cut up easily. Margarito doesn't. Margarito also can't surprise Cotto with anything and he'll give Cotto countless openings to land flush shots because of how wide/slow he throws punches and how horrible his balance/head movement/overall defense is.

Hate to say it but the odds at MGM today are only 9/5 for Cotto by KO....could change before fight night but you may have to shop around for anything near 3/1
