haha thats what im talking about...

but yo... floyd was ready to fight cotto if he beat oscar & margo... but cotto dropped the ball on it by losing to margo... cotto would have been a high profile fight after winning those two fights

i think floyd is triyng to figure out whether he should come str8 out and fight paqman or let hatton get a piece of him first to raise the stakes but if paqman loses floyd also loses the fight with paqman.... i think hes debating that with his camp

He didn't say it was a beating. He said he out right beat him. Meaning he clearly beat Margo in the fight :patsch

Cotto? I understand Margo would be a tough fight but Cotto would literally be murdered by Floyd.

Amen to that. I hate when fighters say, I'll fight whoever my team puts in front of me. It's a crock of ****. It's your career, fight who you want to. I can understand early in your career because they know how to progress you and know what you're ready for, but at this stage, fight who you want to fight.

Interesting points, GG, but there's a big diffence, realistically, between the amount of faith that Top Rank can put in Manny Pacquiao, and the amount of faith Top Rank can put in Cotto and/or Margarito. Top Rank is only interested in keeping Cotto and Margarito out of fights they stand a good chance of losing. There's not as much of a concern there with Manny, for obvious reasons. He's the best in the world. Also, even if Manny loses (or the other little guys) it doesn't seem to affect their market value in exactly the same ways it does some of the bigger guys. The rules are different for some reason..

That's the point everyone has been trying to make. Arum is keeping Margo a clear 3 Area Codes away from PeeWilly. He sees something that everyone else sees. Margo loses again (which he stands at least 50% chance of doing) and he is officially PWND... The cash cow will cease.

That ain't no warrior ****. That's some businessman ****. Margo ain't personally scared of P, but he's hiding behind his manager making these comments.

Both Paul and his management says "bring his ass on" while Margarito says "I'll fight him if my manager says so." Meanwhile Arum won't mention Paul's name in public, like he spooked or something. You see the difference?

Warrior ****? Hahaha... Look what happened in the first fight. Williams came out like he was trying to qualify for the Olympics with nothing but flicking shots in Energizer Bunny mode. Margarito is slow as ****. Williams didn't come to fight the first time, he came to generically bank rounds and steal a decision on the cards - and Margarito still put his hands all over Williams and made it extremely close, winning the fight according to some. This situation is a ****ing joke. If Williams was the guy with the higher market value right now Margarito would be campaigning after him and the roles would be reversed. Margarito got that Cotto win and overnight Team Williams and the Margarito haters started jumping all over his dick. OVERNIGHT. Forget the nonsense..

what the hell are you talking about, floyd was never going to fight Cotto, it was never a possibility after he Koed Judah and beat Mosley - floyd predicted an early ko win by mosley and judah over Cotto. There was never any negotiations or even talks about negotiations or promises from floyd to fight Cotto at any point or if he beat Margarito. Floyd called him a punch bag and said Arum would never make the fight but then Arum and Cotto wanted to make the fight after Mosley and Floyd was SILENT.

Floyd actually ducked Cotto but you had to pay real close attention to understand how he did it.

Starve them out the minute things start to fall apart. He's only the single most vindictive and grudge holding individual in all of boxing.

Is that the best you can do? Margarito really won the fight according to some blind, stupid ****ing dickriders??? P won that fight. Period. And he ain't the one who made his reputation as the Mexican Warrior - That was Antonio "Hide behind my manager" Margarito. :nono

And since when did it become an issue of who had the higher market value? You sound like one of those PBF fans! :admin

But really.. He can stall out as long as he wants. The longer he waits and the more fights he takes, the easier time PW will have in the rematch. He'll beat Shane. But he'll eat some leather doing it. Same with Cotto. By the time late 2009 rolls in, Paul will have improved on a lot of his game, while Margo will have improved nothing but his fanbase. And he will have had a heavy (too heavy?) dose of leather in the process.

I am not a nutritionist but I think it would probably be a good idea to leave the dog food out of your diet.

Very very draining year though. If he pulls through with all this fights I expect him to be shot by the end of 2009. This past few years have been pretty tough for him and this one is even more demanding

I hope people actually start giving him props that are long overdue.
