You've made it clear you don't like Margarito. Williams has said he can make 147. There's no real reason to even suggest they are waiting for Williams to outgrow the division. YOU WANT to believe that. And you'll run with that because it suits you.

Don't be silly. Clottey has never even made $1 million. Goosen would lose an assload of money if he did that. Clottey has no fanbase. He can be had for a lot less than $4 mill

You think the public will be more interested in a rematch with Cotto than a rematch with Williams?, and do you think Margarito will be paid more for fighting Cotto than Williams?($4Million).

 

This is just astounding! All these Margo fans are really clever at coming up with excuses and boxing politico for why the rematch shouldn't happen right now...

#1 - Paul made him wait, now Margo should make him wait
#2 - Paul should fight some better middleweights like Kelly
#3 - Margo should take a year off
#4 - Margo needs to make some money first
#5 - Clottey wants to fight Paul

All of these may be somewhat legitimate excuses for the normal business-like fighter, but Margarito was supposed to be different. He built his personna and a lot of his fanbase from his reputation of being fearless warrior. Well, he needs to get his ass in the ring and get revenge on the man who punished him. You guys act like you get OFFENDED when anyone suggests he fight Paul. Bunch of cowards!

 

The public barely knows who Williams is. And I have no idea how much a rematch will pay.

"Margarito is supposed to be different..." **** man, quit being such a drama queen. He does NOT need to get off his ass. He took a lot of hard clean punches from Cotto, and Cintron before. He can rest if they feel they need to.

He didn't build a persona.....he is who he is. You seem to think FANS created him. get a grip man...

 

If anything the way I see it is the win over Cotto for Margarito didn't only boost Margarito up but also slightly raised Williams' stock as he already beat Margarito. This is why I think this fight is the best to make in the division right now, even in terms of money.

However, the numbers on a Cotto rematch should be out as this gets closer and we'll find out.

 

Nah... You get a grip. It doesn't matter what all of you Margo fans say, you cannot escape the reality that Margarito has been beaten by Paul, and for whatever reason refuses to fight him. He can refuse who he wants, but don't talk all this feared welterweight talk, because it ust isn't true.

The only person scared of him is Cotto. Guess that's why he's fighting him.

 

Lance the guy has a point..I do recall many many fans here calling Tony a "REAL" fighter. In fact I argued with those people saying that Margo is in boxing to make money just like every other fighter, and they said he wasnt, he was doing it for pride and to prove that he was the best..It seems that many here like to mold their view to promote certain fighters. Margo is pulling some of the same stuff now that Mayweather did. Im not going to be like others and bash him for it, I have said many times I like to see guys get paid, If he can make more fighting Cotto them so be it. Its not like Cotto was a walk in the park...However, if he starts fighting 10 lost fighters like he has done in the past I thin that people will and should come down on him hard...In closing do I think that Tony is avoiding a fight with Williams....YES, is he scared to fight PW........NO. Its not a smart move on his part because he will LOSE. In time avoiding Williams will become harder and he will be forced to, unless he waits long enough so that PW cant make the weight anymore :hey

Margarito is pulling the same stunt Mayweather did? that you defended ad nauseum? All because he's already doing a rematch with Cotto over a rematch w/ Williams.

And all of a sudden, he's NOT a real fighter? Look, if those are the types of games you want to play, go for it. You want top be the leader of the kiddie brigade and their simple theories, go for it. If you see him having a rematch of one of this years best fights, and that makes him a sell out or something, then you see what you want to see.
