Stop it! Stop making excuses and absurd rationalizations every time a fighter loses. Margarito AKA Mr illegal hand wraps got thoroughly schooled by a superior fighter. CASE CLOSED!

 

Margarito=All hype no substance. The fact that some people were putting him in the P4P list was ridiculous. He has no defense what so ever.

 

Margarito traditionally come's out slow and gradually wear's down most of his opponent's, The Cotto fight being a case in point.

But where most fighters tend to become discouraged with the shot's Margarito can walk through, Shane Mosley didn't let up, stuck to the plan and boxed his ear's off.

Mosley outclassed Margarito last night, take nothing away from him it was the best I've seen from Shane in years.

What a great strategy, He took it straight to Margarito from the start and never let up, after the first couple of round's i was thinking Mosley was making a mistake and would come unstuck late in the fight but holy **** he did the business and gave us fight fans a real treat.

Don't take it away from Mosley by saying Margarito looked weak, he just got beat by the better man.

 

Thats because he was facing Shane. Punches can do that to an opponent. The reason why Cotto lost is because number 1 his not as durable as Shane. And number 2 he kept fighting Margarito in spots moving around the ring ineffectively.The only way to beat Margo is to bang that big body target and punch him back. Margo has no defense to speak of. His easy to hit and only walks forwards in straight lines throwing the 1 2 and a body shot. If Cotto had stayed in the centre of the ring and fought back the result would have been entirely diffrent. But Cotto likes to dictate his own pace. Against a guy like Shane who is more than willing to stand and trade and bang back with faster hands crisper shots Margo simply had no answer.
