its normal for a trainer to go in and check the wraps especially when you have a guy like Margarito going in there with a guy like Mosley who looked to be as if he were the sacrificial lamb headed out to the slauter. though I do beleive that there is a bit of fishy **** going on honestly I have never witnessed this much attention to anything like this before, I mean you have had guys out right get caught cheating and never before has it been discussed on this level before. I dont think he was set up but there are people who obviously dont want Margarito around, so they are taking advantage of this to get him out, and why wouldnt they the welter weights never really felt safe with Tony in the mix.
Why would the boxing community want to not have Margarito around? He's a busy fighter, he's big, he's strong, he's got an automatic Mexican fanbase. If he kept on winning, HBO, Top Rank, the promoters and matchmakers will love him. And I'm pretty sure that boxing people will not allow a member of their fraternity to be set up, be suspended for 1 year, or for life, for a bogus charge. I don't care if boxing's got a reputation of being sleazy, I just dont believe that they'll let a perfectly innocent man lose his livelihood, his job and basically his whole life, just because he's a threat or they dont like him.
When you're in the locker room, someone comes and tells you, "we're gonna start wrapping now." And you send someone from your team to observe. **** me crawlin' naked through busted glassatsch Do you follow boxingatsch
Set up? A set up and a tipped off are two different things . . . dude. You'll call that a set up if somebody forced team Margarito to use that thing for the first time and they got caught. You'll call that tipped off . . . if Nazeem went in there fully knowing what he is looking for.
You can have both of them going on simultaneously if you have a third party doing the "setting" and the "tipping".
I dont believe anyone tipped off anyone...... ......and from the looks of it, if Capetillo tried to cheat intentionally, he sure was'nt hiding it, as reports are that he was inserting the same rolled up gauze he already had inserted in the hand he already had wrapped when Richardson walked in..... If it was intentional, the Margarito camp sure did'nt do their homework and realized who was in the other team....(a Bernard Hopkins cronnie that has a history of making a stink even when there nothing to stink about.....
