:rofl He was CAUGHT IN THE ACT which is grounds for intense scrutiny of his entire career, we wouldn't be having this discussion in the first place if he hadn't loaded his gloves on Saturday.
It's not a coincidence because what the original poster said is misleading. Why cut it off at the Lewis fight? Why not cut it off years earlier, and show that he still had a great KO rate? Because then it would be obvious that most of his decisions came before he could grow facial hair.
It's my observation that both Diaz and Margarito threw with the same amount of conviction in these shots... YET! Diaz's punches sound a lot softer where as Margarito's sound "thudding" :huh...hmm...thudding...where have I head that before :hey Take a look [yt]17jMWHE99Gc[/yt]
I don't like to cast judgement without proof , but my intelligent guess is that the Mosley fight was most likely not the only time he did this.
That's true...I like the OP's analysis and suspicions the most though... It's nothing "proven"...but still somewhat fun (if that's the word for it ) to try and guess where and IF he cheated in previous fights
He was CAUGHT IN THE ACT, his entire career is now open to intense scrutiny, if he hadn't loaded his gloves on Saturday we wouldn't be having this discussion.
damn this handwrapping **** has gotten old..... a guy hits alot of homeruns, hes on steroid... now any punch that margarito threw in his whole career that hurt someone or knocked them down or out he cheated with "stone hands" people on ESB love jumping on bandwagons
I just need to know if whatever they found was something that's designed to increase his ability to cause damage, or protect his hands, or both. Because they did find something. And that something wasn't something that didn't have a purpose.
:think I guess we'll have to wait until CCofJ finishes it's analysis and the Feb. 10th hearing about the whole situation :verysad:wall atsch
It is that uncertainty that will hurt him the most. At the same time he would likely face criminal charges if he came clean and admitted the occasions when he did cheat, so we'll likely have to wait for him to be on his deathbed before there will ever be a real admission on his part. He'll not soon admit what he's done to the fullest extent.
Exactly. It's sickening. There's all sorts of completely baseless speculation going on - of which this thread is a prime example - for which there is NO evidence, none whatsoever. The hysterical lynch mobs are out in force with this one! It is truly disgusting.
Sickening or not, worse things have happened in boxing in the past, you cannot blame people for raising questions or doubts. Personally I find it incomprehensible that they apparently found something illegal in his handwrapping but somehow fail to specify how or what exactly. Thereby opening up room for speculation and accusations and declining Margo his defense and/or boxing fans the truth. As for the steroid accusations in boxing, and other accusations of foul play for that matter, there is from my perspective NO openess or consitant ruling and regulations in the sport. The grey network of promoters, commissions of all sorts, sanctioning bodies etcetera make it near impossible for us fans to establish what really happened. Hence the sometimes wild speculation. It is up to the sport to come out in the open and to lead by example.
