Martinez should have been placed on a milk box after this fight, He went to Europe and hide from decent comp. Martinez has alot of hype behind him for a guy that has beatten NO ONE. He is a good fighter and he has a good shot at outboxing williams if he shows up like he did vs Quintana. At the same time, williams is by a mile the best fighter that Martinez will have faced to this point.
Martinez was very green in this fight. He is a completely different fighter today. I would favor Martinez over Margo in a rematch today.
I haven't seen the beginning of this fight, but that looked little like the current Martinez. His current defense and spacing have vastly improved (unless his sloppiness in this clip was purely due to fatigue and pain).
