Margo Vs Mosley

mosley close ud,i gave a few reasons why in another thread.

 

Right now, I say Margarito beats the living **** out of Mosley and stops him. Shane does not have the same handspeed or footspeed as he did back when he fought De La Hoya.

Margarito though he isnt the greatest boxer he does have the right stuff to defeat mosley, solid chin, full time pressuer fighter and power. his favorite shots are those right uppercuts and nasty body shots, two eliments that got shane his ass handed to him by Forrest.

so today if the two fought, Mosley would not make it to the finish line in this fight and if he did that alone would be his only victory. Margarito would simply be too much for Shane to deal with at this age, his work rate would break shane down and stop him in the last third of the fight if Shane didnt get caught with something big early.

if you put the two in with each other when Shane was in his prime, its a much better and more exciting fight, shanes speed alone would off set anything Tony does, and Shane would more than likely be able to box to a close win, but again that is assuming Shane doesnt get clipped with something.

More than likely in his Prime shane would have to climb off the canvas to win it I think Margarito would still sooner or later land something big on shane. but I still think in shanes prime he had enough to beat him down the streach but no way would shane stop him.

 

mosley has always has been beat by guys whit longer arms than his i say margarito by ud

 

is this prime 4 prime? And when has mosley ever been stop? he's been there with guys more power than margo has

 

I think that Mosley would probably out hustle Margo.

 

ok,i think mosley gets the decision by smartly boxing margarito&slugging it out just enuff to make an impression.

 

In his prime I think Mosley whoops all over Margo and wins it by a clear UD... but with this aged version of Mosley I'm not too sure what he would actually have to offer that would be able to stop Margo's aggressive onslaught. Shane isn't the hardest guy to hit in the world either which would give Tony many opportunities to land with that high volume style of his.

My predition: Margarito by decision.

 

It would be a close decision..Margo does have the style to give anyone hell, regardless of who's in front of him..anyone who can take your best punch, smile and keep coming is trouble..I don't think that he would stop Mosley, but I do think that with his stamina, work rate, chin and long arms he can take the decision from Mosley who can run out of gas after 7 or 8 rds

 

Glad to see you admitted to this since in another thread you seem to think the Mosley that Cotto fought was more dangerous than Oscar that PBF fought. You have now admitted Shane was a shell of himself against Cotto.:hi:

 

By tall guys with long arms that had a good jab good handspeed and good boxing skills Margo doesn't fit that bill.:deal

 

Just becuase he wasnt the same mosley when he fought Cotto does not make De La Hoya any better, especially when you consider that Mosley was more active when he fought Cotto than Oscar was when he fought Floyd, and especially when Shane has already proven twice to be the better man than DLH.
so no matter how you look at it, Cotto has the better win of the two:hi:

 

Even though Mosley is nowhere near elite anymore he would still be the faster and better fighter in the ring. People thinking that a guy like Margo who doesn't have great power will stop a tough guy like Mosley are mistaken. Shane has been in the ring with guys that hit alot harder than Margo. All Margo brings is a workrate, stamina and chin. He's still easy as hell to hit and easy to figure out. A vet like Shane would do just enough to win this by close UD.
