Margarito was very focused I remember for the Cotto fight he fought well and won in dramatic fashion.

I remember after this Margarito was on the cover of RING everybody built him up and got on the band wagon. And he had a fight with an old distracted and on the slide looking Moseley.

was Margo serious in training ahead of time. He did not look focused or fluid in the ring that night. Was it the events of the prefight wraps scandal or was he never really prepared. I dont remember the lead up to that fight.

I ask this cause he looks motivated and very serious right now for Manny. I think he is gonna lose any way but he looks dangerous as ever.

Was Margarito this focused and prepared for Shane?

There were reports that after the Cottoe massacre he went on vacation and basically partied it up for a couple of months. By the time he got to camp he was grossly overweight and focused more on losing weight than actual game plan for the Mosley fight. The fact that he was falsely accused of loading his gloves must've left a sour taste in his mouth going into the fight. He got caught slipping, that's all. It appears his focus is back for the roided CongROIDSman.

thanks for the info funny i dont remember this. i guess the crap training camp was the reason for the wraps. and thats why he was so out of his element once they were removed no strategy or preparation without the wraps he was helpless

It was a factor why he lost to Shane by KO, but I think even if he came in the shape he was for Cotto he'd still probably lose to Shane by close decision. Shane would still clinch him to death.

tony didn't train, he knew his gloves would get him through it, but once he lost the ammo for his gun, he had to face a non drained (from blood tests) mosely on roids

I think he gave that fight away to Shane thinking that he may get some sympathy from being caught. Its liek "ok you got me, Im guilty ill give you this one".

Mosley was the better man that night, No excuse.
**** happens when you fight the best, Tony got ****ed up.

Hopefully Shane gives Margarito the rematch in the near future.
(Same goes for Williams, I'd watch Margarito II anyday of the week... ect)
