wow if you cant see the skill difference in the two then your a sad boxing fan period....at no point did Floyd use size to his advantage or impose it against JMM if anything he did JMM a favor by not using his size and allowing the fight to go 12....comming off a year i would think anyone would want to get the rounds in against a very good fighter.

JMM at no point can handle Floyd if they met earlier in Floyd's career he faces a faster and even more aggressive Floyd who had ALL the tools plus defense...JMM simply isnt on the same level.....if he was he would have WON out right one of those fights with Pac....like Emo did...Emo against Floyd at the lower weights is a better fight....JMM NO:nono

Depends on what you prefer. I don't enjoy checkers as much as chess and Floyd is a chessmaster. I like skill and strategy . Boxing is an aquired taste. Floyd best represents the term "sweet science ". Anyone can stand and trade playing Rockem Sockem. Floyd makes boxing an art. Hit and not be hit. Could care less about his personality or what he does outside the ring. I appreciate what he does inside the ring.

    And? He announced his "retirement".

Khan was only used as an example of the time frame since Mayweather's last bout.

Mosley took roughly 10-11 months before he began training for the Berto bout. Hopkins took upto a year (?) before he started training for his bout with Ornelas. I can't recall seeing as many threads complaining about their inactivity, or they should be moved down the P4P list (I remember seeing a couple of Hopkins threads).

If Mayweather were to announce a bout in January (which is unlikely because of the trouble outside the ring)...and he set the date for May 1st, that would be 2 bouts in a 12 month period.

    what a ridiculous statement.

Pacquiao's resume shits on Floyd's and there is no way p4p#1 is "joint"

I disagree with this. That left hook in the 2nd round that caused the knock down...the size, strength and power difference was apparent then.

But yeah, on a whole I agree...on very few occasions did Floyd use his size advantage effectively. He was treating it more as a sparring session, which was kind of unfair on Marquez.

Mayweather beats Marquez at any weight.

Saying Pac's resume shits on Floyd's is not being pro Pac and anti Floyd, it's just calling it like it is.

i think Pac's resume is good very good

i dont think it shyts on Floyds though i dont believe the resumes are that lopsided when i personaly look at all the facts....but one thing is for sure he definitely has a resume that is better i just dont think it shyts on Floyds.

but hey its your opinion and mine as well.

Give an opinion instead of **** talk douche bag. Floyd didn't use his size. He used his skill. It's funny because Floyd fought Shane how he should've fought JMM but anyhow if you even watched the fight like I said give your opinion. Don't be a ***** trying to act tuff on a screen.

wrong, if Floyd had fought Marquez like he did Shane, he would've had alot more trouble. Marquez doesn't throw wide punches and telegraph his shots like Mosley does. If you get in Marquez' range, you'll get caught. That's why Floyd stayed on the outside and chose to just outbox the smaller man. He knew that he could stop Marquez in his tracks by just landing a jab on him, and that Marquez would not be able to fully commit to his offense against such a bigger man.

You need to understand more about styles.

Good strategy by Floyd and he did the best he could.

Styles had **** to do with it. See all my posts in this thread. Skill. And Floyd who was the bigger man was "dodging" all of JMM shots like he was Neo dodging bullets. It's all skill. Size was not a factor in that fight. Twist it anyway you want. I 'll just be repeating myself. SKILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
