In my oppinion Mario beat Steven Luevano last time out on the Pacquiao vs. Diaz undercard i think. Many people beleive that Luevano is the top featherweight in the world.

How would Mario vs. Yuorkis playout. I know Mario can Punch and take a good shot how would Gamboa react to that type of power?

From what I have seen ot the two I like Mario by mid round stopage.

    How about you?

For the record, I see Gamboa beating Luevano with ease and to me Luevano is the weakest (I don't cnsider Larios a champ) belt holder at 126.

Santiago's speed is not on par with Gamboa and though, he could try to time him, I see Gamboa rushing him in the first 3 rounds.

Though, Gamboa is too open defensively it could well play out the other way around - funny thing, a world class talent is nearly always in 50/50 bouts vs. C to A level opponents...

luevano is good but i noticed that he has a below average chin. i have his fight with santiago a razor close win for him (barely edging santiago). imo, john, linares and maybe even guerrero could beat luevano. santiago packs a punch but is a crude fghter. linares and john would beat him. gamboa would stop him, imo. but sanatiago has a chance since gamboa's stamina and chin is still suspect at present.

santiago would beat gamboa if they fought right now... it would be a great action fight

speaking of which that luevano fight was a great fight and probably the most underrated fight of the year so far...

According to nickfoxx, the average 10-year-old little girl will KO1 Gamboa :patsch But you know what, we should only take his opinion in consideration since he knows things we don't. For example, nickfoxx clearly saw that a huge punch put Gamboa down in his last fight (not a shoulder!!! a huge azz punch some seconds before). We all must be blind.

Yeah I know... these predictions are hard to make because Gamboa can definately KO ANYONE (no matter what a lot of people say) but we still don't know much about his chin, except that it is not that great, and that he seems to recover very well.

My predictions against any of the top guys looks like what GeerGroove just said, Gamboa getting floored from times to times because of his all wild style but being able to pull a KO at any round.

And rapidHOOK, I was kidding in my last post. It is true that it will be hard for Gamboa to win any kind of UD vs the top dogs simply because even if he fights better and land more punches, all these flash KDs he seems to love will take some points from him.

Another thing to take in consideration is: Will Gamboa be able to keep his furious style for the later rounds? If he is able to, I can't see him really losing because who in the world will resist to all these punches for 12 rounds? Jimenez did for 10 but he was almost down several times and Gamboa looked tired in the later rounds. If it was a 12 rounds fight, maybe a KO could have happened because honestly, Jimenez couldn't take it anymore, his face was about to explode. So this thing is a big question mark. If he is not able to keep that tornado going for the later round, all the good boxers will take benefit of it. The fact is Gamboa is a phenom but with a lot of question marks not answered yet. The only difference is there is two kind of people, some, as me, think he will do extremely well. Others seems to think he will be stoped soon. We still need to see more from him and yeah I hope his next fight is one of the champs (John would be my favorite but Larios is still a good deal). Anyway, what better way to know who Gamboa really is and by the same occasion shut half of the people down.

My prediction for this thread: Gamboa KO (would I go all in on it? of course not.)
