Nothing shocking at all. Been telling you and others for a long time that Tank is special. Even was it last week or earlier this week I can’t remember I told you Barrios was very good. Anybody between 130-140 pounds can get it. In fact I hope for Taylor’s sake he stays at 140 pounds to get a crack in the Tank sweepstakes. More money than fighting my man Bud Crawford who unfortunately cannot sell flies even in his hometown.

 

Tank did what he was expected to do and stop a game but limited "paper-titlist" in Barrios.

I don't see anything that special in Gervonta aside from decent power, he's not that special and has plenty of obvious weaknesses.

IF he is so special, why doesn't Floyd have the confidence to put him in with the best? Jumps up to 140 to fight Barrios, rather than going for Loma (especially after the Lopez loss), not Haney, not Lopez himself. Where are the top 3 names in his divisions on his resume?

I will be surprised if Floyd let's Davis in with any of the following @140 Barancyk, Prograis, Postol, Ramirez, let alone the top dog in Taylor. I think Tank is too small at 140 and get's exposed by any of the better fighters there, and I think he also get's exposed by Loma and Lopez @135; so I can see the dilemma for Floyd - he has to milk that cash cow.

That said, if Tank get's in with a Postol or even Barancyk and does the business then I will maybe start drinking the cool aid, but colour me skeptical.
