The fight is taking place on October 24th, on the Gervonta Davis vs Leo Santa Cruz card. Barrios is making the first defense of his WBA Regular Light Welterweight title against the once touted PBC prospect Ryan ''Karlnelo'' Karl. Barrios is probably the weakest link from all the champs at 140, but he is still pretty good and pretty fun to watch, his bout with Akhmedov was damn good. Karl is no world class fighter, but he will give it a go. What are your fellas' thoughts about this one?
Barrios wins easily by accumulation stopage, probably in the mid rounds. even though he is the weakest beltholder, he is a lot better than karl who is domestic level at best.
This. Karl will go for it and probably eat a ton of punishment as he's too tough for his own good. But for the aforementioned factors he definitely has an outside shot. Definitely going to be a rough and tough brawl. Possibly a sleeper FOTY contender.
Is karl a last minute replacement? Why would they even make that match? Karl isnt even a club fighter.
