Oh c'mon Coleman had the easiest route in the GP. He beat Shoji who was a small heavy by simply outmuscling him. Fujita's corner threw the towel in immediately as Fujita had hurt his knee in the previous contest and Coleman won via knees to the head that made Igor tap. Good win for Coleman considering how lethal Igor was on his feet but the knees on the ground helped Coleman alot in PRIDE. He did exactly the same with Goes kneeing him into unconciousness.

Igor on the other hand had a lengthy battle with Sakurba and Goodridge. As for the Shogun "win" Shogun broke his arm when slammed to the mat in a freak accident. It was hardly a credible win or anything worth writing home about. The GP in my opinion was always a very flattering win for Mark.

I think when he ups the conditioning like I suspect he will then he'll start to burn alot of muscle. I've seen it happen to many blokes both am and pro. 300 pounds is an unnatural body weight despite low BF. I think he is about 6'1. At the moment I think his training is geared for something totally different. I think his workout is posted on his website. The beauty about fighting is that when you are training you are losing weight. At the moment, when he is training he is maintaining his bulk and perhaps building more.

For practical reasons he needs to lose that bulk. His lats are so big I doubt he could tuck up to behind a conventional boxing guard.

Actually there not. If he was a BB they would be bigger but proportionally there relatively small.

Mariusz is just a VERY thick dude. Naturally he'll have to change his workout and will loose weight. Still his conditioning for a WSM is unique.

Fedor is the most dynamic heavy I have ever seen in MMA.....not that this is news though....

I still would like to see Fedor vs. Rampage.....and I think Page would make it very interesting and would be a live dog.....he's stronger than Fedor and has a granite chin....

Coleman did have an easy route to the final, but neither of Igor's fights even went past the first round and were hardly lengthy "battles". Saku's a legend, but it was a complete physical mismatch. In addition to Sakuraba only being a small middleweight, he had just finished a (90 MINUTE!) 6 round fight against Royce Gracie. He was exhausted and couldn't hurt Igor, it's amazing he even lasted through the first round.

The Goodridge fight lasted 10 minutes, but there was a several minute break for Goodridge to recover from an accidental low blow. Making it more like a 2 round UFC fight. Plus it was pretty 1 sided, ending with one of the funniest KO's ever in Pride.

It's hard to see how those 2 fights would cause Igor to lose to Coleman. Either way, Coleman definitely deserves props for ending Igor's 30 FIGHT WIN STREAK!

their has to be a distinction here as i remember getting into a heated discussion with someone over this but basically he may dominate a competition called worlds strongest man and theirs no doubt the guys a speciman with great endurance but Olympic weightlifters like the Iranian world record holder at super heavy Razazadeh and guys like Victors Savicious are stronger.Razazadeh dosnt even hold the record for the most weight ever lifted, that belongs to Leonid Taranenko but the IWF restructured the S heavy weight class and as he was competing at a higher weight his record no longer stands but these guys are all stronger than Pudz.

Zavickas P4P is stronger than Pudz. If it wasnt for his near career knee injury he would have blown the WSM's away. Zavickas is insanely strong.

I saw Pudzianowski many times on tv and I think that in MMA he gets striked to death. He has too much excessive bulk and can't be much more than a slow plodder. If he grabs you he does have A LOT of force. but can he do something with it? We'll see. It is interesting for sure!
