Probably go with Wach. He looked not so bad last time out.

Johnson has as good a chin and better defense than Whyte (but, admittedly, far less power and killer instinct, making him the lesser fighter)

Did this need to be said?

Um, does any forum post?

If you followed along, Neon Maniac had mentioned Wach stunning Whyte - suggesting this might be pertinent to a Wach vs. Johnson fight if not outright implying that Johnson will get stopped (as Whyte has been fairly overrated by some of late, with the obvious leap in logic being "if he could stun Whyte, then no doubt a bum like KJ will get KTFO). I replied by reminding him that despite his losing ways and spotty motivation in the last several years, Johnson is still no glass-jawed pushover and in fact can slip and block punches - even in his current state - a good deal better than does the more offensive-minded Whyte. So in short, don't assume he gets taken out early by Wach a`la the AJ fight - or at least, if you're going to, don't base that expectation on anything occurring in the Whyte fight.

I think it was a fair point to make in the course of conversation, and don't really see where there was cause to call in the sarcasm cavalry. :nusenuse:

C'mon IB, you know as well as I do that what you said was very very obvious. That's a perfect fit for a sarcastic comment, meant in jest.

If I was you, I'd pick the positive part of it and be happy I remembered your name.

...obvious to a sharp tack like yourself perhaps, sire Crowcroft, but you know what sort of rabble I'm used to mucking around with on here. Best practice is to pretend you're teaching kindergarten (or at least not assume that most currently active posters have been watching the sport long enough - or back-filled their knowledge base well enough, if they're young - to remember why Johnson was regarded as world class once upon a time and not view him as just a clay pigeon to be shot down by anybody with a pulse.

But alright, I've hit my grumbling quota for the week.
