The heavyweight division has evolved so much since the Marciano days. He would have nothing for a modern HW giant granite chin warrior.
^ Agree with this post. Rocky isn't stopping Wach, who is extremely durable. I also don't see the somewhat limited Wach land too much on Marciano who was an awkward target. I'd pick Rocky on points in an interesting bout.
I wouldn't put it past Marciano to stop Wach. It may go the distance, but I don't see many humans (no matter how big they are) surviving a sustained beating by Rocky. I am not saying that Rocky hits harder than Wlad (although it is possible). But, against a slow, relatively unskilled behemoth like Wach who is there to be hit, Rocky would be relentless. Wlad was far too conservative to open up much on Wach. If his courage had ever matched his skill, I suspect Wlad could have obliterated Wach in a few rounds. But, as we all know, Wlad has always been a safety-first fighter. Wach is slow as molasses. And, Rocky would be all over him trying to chop down that big tree. If Povetkin could stop him late, so could Rocky.
Didn't you know mr gee that people now are much tougher and smarter and everything fitter ***yer etc.I suppose if I went back in time I could give john L Sullivan a good slap and as I am from the future he would probably wet his pants and run home to his granny.
Yeah, he'd have a good chance to stop Marciano, but Rocky would be a live dog in taht fight. remember crusierweight marco huck arguably beat povetkin so Rocky could outwork and outhustle Povetkin here.
You bring such humor to these forums. Height doesn't mean sht. Marcianos bob and weave style is enough alone to give Wach problems. As they say "Go to the body and the head will fall!" and that's exactly what would happen here. Wach quits on account of broken ribs and ruptured organs. What would make you even consider debating this topic?
 That makes total sense! Never thought of it like that before. I once punched a building. I guess that makes me the toughest man in the universe :yep:deal
Actually I think Povetkin would give Rocky a hell of a fight. He would arguably be the strongest man Marciano got in the ring with, coupled with a great chin and blistering combinations. Damn, I'd pay to see that one.
The idea is silly man that you have a 185 pound man hitting a 300 pound bag and making it move like it was nothing. If you never tried it you would not understand its significance. Point is Rocky could hit hard enough to ko anyone. Weight was not an issue. Footage of Marciano hitting his 300 pound heavy bag is on YouTube.
