Mariusz Wach vs Rocky Marciano

I think Povetkin would UD Marciano in an action type of fight.

Yeah, but we can tell how the bag reacts regardless of the length of the chain. I judge the impact of force.

Where you hit the bag matters some. On the top it won't move as much. On the bottom, it will swing a bit more.

Thoughts: Go to the 59-second mark for the heavy bags.

Marciano can dent it, but I did not find him to be great bag power puncher on this film. He simply lacks the mass equation on force.

What impressed me is how he is able to generate force from short distances and the leverage he put into it.

Other training observations. Rocky isn't smooth with his footwork, nor he is anything but average on the speed bag, however, he knew how to get into range and his duck and hook combo worked in the ring.

Nobody really.

There are cruiserweights today, who would be installed as a betting favourite over Wach, if he ever agreed terms to fight them.

Whatever the merits of the superheavyweight argument, it carries little currency here.

Wach has beaten a good amount of name journeyman types. He has an iron chin and a lot of size. He'd be ranked in the top 20 in Rocky's day.

Just like Abe Simon was ranked as high as #4 in Joe Louis day, and Hein Ten Hoff could be viewed as top 15- 20 in Rocky's timeline. If you don't know who Simon or Hoff was, they were big men with durability and a bit short on skills. I'd say Wach has more skill than Simon.

The lack of depth in your posts is only rivaled by your ability to dislike certain fighters.

PS: A bags can hit back if you get to close, particularly the double end bag. I suggest you try it up close
