Kamil Łaszczyk vs. Antonio Horvatic, 6 rounds @ featherweight

 

This was originally scheduled for eight rounds but was demoted to fit the broadcast.

 

Round 1

Łaszczyk is jabbing Horvatic into the ropes, knifing him in the belly and then aiming for his face as Horvatic keeps hopping backwards and hiding behind his guard, peeking out just long enough to get a bead on Łaszczyk's position in relation to himself, and skittering laterally when he feels his back hit the ropes. Horvatic down, slip. Offense is all Łaszczyk coming forward.

Round 2

Łaszczyk is diving in with 1-2s on the body and smacking Horvatic across the cheekbone with left hooks as he pulls straight out after doubling over. Body flurries by Łaszczyk, arms snatched and held as Horvatic leans in close and works some uppercuts. Łaszczyk is stalking on the outside, left arm low, throwing long jabs at Horvatic. Łaszczyk throws a few slow ones to lull Horvatic and then lunges in with a quick flurry, his feet landing inside Horvatic's. Chopping right by Łaszczyk. Horvatic is ducking low and pressing his back into Łaszczyk.

Round 3

Łaszczyk is throwing uppercuts wide around the sides, not hitting the protected chin of Horvatic as he leans forward cupping it with his gloves, but planting his knuckles into Horvatic's armpits, ribs, and lungs regularly. Double jab, right hand by Łaszczyk. Horvatic is bowing in, throwing single right hand leads up top and missing as Łaszczyk dips and weaves in throwing bunches of hooks on the body.

Round 4

Łaszczyk is jabbing and then pushing out with the left glove at full extension, sheep-dogging Horvatic across the ring, trying to pin him on the ropes. Horvatic uses two-footed hops back, to his left, and diagonally to stay away from them and just beyond Łaszczyk's reach. Łaszczyk is waiting until he gets close and then feeling out the distance with right hand leads or lunging jabs, then once he makes contact letting his legs follow in and flurrying into the midsection before Horvatic can hop away. Łaszczyk is landing lead right uppercuts and left hooks on the body as Horvatic keeps his arms in a narrow V tight against his chest.

Round 5

Łaszczyk is prodding Horvatic into retreat with the push-jab and then slamming in the long right cross. Horvatic is darting in with light 1-2s on the body and then hopping out, chin winged by the inner part of his gloves. Łaszczyk lands a jab/uppercut to stun Horvatic. Łaszczyk triples up on a 1-2 downstairs and gets Horvatic against the ropes, and down. Horvatic is laughing at the ref, claiming it was a slip - but it wasn't. Accumulation of straight body shots took away his breath and hopping capability and made him need a quick knee. Łaszczyk stays on him the rest of the round, walking after him and pecking with the jab and flurrying.

Round 6

Łaszczyk is putting in work, going for the stoppage. Fast short uppercut combos on the face pushing Horvatic back into the ropes. Body shots. Horvatic down again! Thirty seconds in, plenty of time left. Horvatic jumps in and throws his own quick, light, flashy uppercut combo at the body, then backs out. Punches traded as Łaszczyk stays atop Horvatic, landing hooks on the body as Horvatic claps one across Łaszczyk's neck to no avail. Łaszczyk is jabbing from the hip and throwing big rights as Horvatic runs. Long lunging lead left hook by Łaszczyk. Horvatic is playing to survive. Down again. 45 seconds. Horvatic on the run. Łaszczyk triples a jab up top, dusting the head of Horvatic. 1-2s by Łaszczyk to blind Horvatic, and then uppercuts beneath the guard. Chopping right by Łaszczyk. Flurry up top as Horvatic ducks in.
