Randy Couture to take on Fedor Emelianenko Next Fall or Winter?

Mark Cubans HDNet Fights sued Zuffa, the parent company of UFC, last week in Dallas. The suit seeks declaratory relief concerning Randy Coutures contractual status under a promotional contract with Zuffa. According to the filing, HDNet Fights has entered into a contract with Couture that is scheduled to commence upon the expiration of his Zuffa promotional agreement. At that time, the company plans to promote a fight between Couture and Fedor Emelianenko in Dallas, assuming terms can be reached with the Russian Heavyweight who has been considered the best HW in the world for several years. Also in the filing, Couture has stated that he believes his Zuffa promotional contract expires in July. Zuffa maintains that the contract remains valid indefinitely. Both sides agree that the 1 year non-compete provision in Coutures employment contract with the UFC expires on October 12th, meaning that the even with a favorable outcome concerning the term of Coutures promotional contract, the earliest Couture-Fedor could take place would be in the fall.

On TAGG Radio apparently the newest rumor is that Fedor's managment never signed his M-1 contract and royally ****ed over Monte Cox and might be signing with HDNet or Dreams. I suppose this development might put HDNet in the lead.

I heard that too, Fedor and his team royally ****ed over M1. Damn.....don't trust those Russians!
Monte Cox is getting so desperate that he's trying to buyout the Russians in M1.

    M1 is doomed.

Trigg says a lot of questionable stuff for sure. But he's been right about a lot of stuff lately. MMA Junkie also reported the same thing which is quite a bit more reliable. Considering that M-1 keeps pushing back their first card and changing names of opponents for Fedor, and now are saying Fedor might not be on the first card, I could see it. Mark Cuban is doing a lot of good stuff right now.

The only problem I have with HDNet is that It actually LAGS on my cable box. I have no idea why but it's impossible to watch anything on it. All I get from calling customer service is "we're working on it" .... its been like that for a year.

I think you need to lay some ground and pound on your cable guy.

I hope that they do land Couture and Fedor... and if that happens, I hope they also get Arlovski. We need to see those three tangle.

It's amazing to me that the UFC is doing **** to promote or shmooze their most skilled Heavyweight, being Arlovski.....actually Nog has more skill, but AA is damn close and maybe more well rounded.

To be honest, I think that AA beats Nog without a problem.

Arlovski still lost twice against Sylvia though...

He is much better then Sylvia. I think he might beat Nog also due to styles, but I think Nog is more skilled. This is tough to explain. Ok, I think GSP is more well rounded then Penn, but Penn is more skilled. BJ Penns BJJ is on such a level that he can do that better then GSP can do anything he does (except maybe wrestling :hey ) Same thing applies to AA and Nog. AA may be more well rounded, but Nog's BJJ skills trumps any specific thing AA can do. So I would say Nog has more skill.

I'm tired and hung over and I honestly just read this back and it doesn't really make any sense :patsch  NOG IS JUST MORE SKILLED OK!!!
