I hope this gets done so we can all laugh in Danas face that the biggest fight in MMA history will happen NOT in the UFC. Also from a fans prespective I cant wait Randy is a guy id give a solid shot at beating Fedor because if Randy wants a takedown trust me hes getting it and he can defeintally use them short elbows that arent designed for cuts to open up Fedor whos known to bleed. Cant wait better believe in keeping myself open in October.
I don't know if Randy wants to be on the ground with Fedor to be honest with you, I'd think his ONLY shot would be to fight him in a cage and dirty box him for 5 rounds up against the cage wall. I think Fedor would badly out-strike him, and have a real good shot at submitting him or getting dominant position and GnPing him on the ground.....I don't care how good of a wrestler Randy is, Fedor is a beast and is way too quick, explosive and more importantly smart to be controlled for an entire fight on the ground. :deal
I think Randy is overrated. And a real simple counter to you, who has Randy ever fought that is like Fedor?
In a ring, you may be right. However, in a cage... I could easily see Randy getting Fedor down, pushing him up against the fence and controlling him. Also, it is a lot easier when you can just drop short elbows without getting yourself out of position too much. I don't think that Fedor would sub Randy very easily. Let's remember that Randy has grappled with Jacare, one of the best submission grapplers in the world, and they grappled to a draw.
Fedor is the most explosive dude I have seen on the ground..... He subbed Coleman, Randleman, and Lindland 3 guys with a little bit of wrestling background. Of course Couture has arguably got much better sub defense, and it would be tested....
I agree... but I think that Couture is much better than all three at defending submissions. However, Couture isn't getting any younger, and I am almost afraid to see what he may be like in there after another long inactive period.
Yea that was only 9 years ago. I'm not buying Arlovski over Nog, I don't see any way he would be the first to finish nog, its a 5 round fight...25 minutes with nog, I'm just not buying that.
