There has been another blow to Boxing in Perth as two main events have been dropped late from the cards in as many weeks. Australian Heavyweight, Mark De Mori was planning to make his first return to the ring in almost two years this afternoon in Perth but the fight against Ghanaian-Ibrahim Marshall has fallen through, although the rest of the card will continue as normal. It was reported that the two camps had a dispute at yesterday's weigh-in over Marshall taking a blood test. http://www.aus-boxing.com/2011/06/mark-de-mori-fight-off.html?m=1
DeMori's bout is off. The opponent is no longer available as Aus-Boxing mentioned. The promo continues tonight, with ESB's own Leon Mcs on the scene to filter results through in the coming hours.
Apparently his opponent failed a medical exam. Dont know what exactly but disappointing for DeMori. Feels like he has been inactive for decades. Hope some big domestic heavyweight fights involving him can finally be made.
The apparent reason he didn't take the blood test was because he said the needle would affect his performance: Pleaseee he is a Heavyweight almost 100kg how is one needle gonna stop you performing at your best. Obviously more behind it. Will be great to get updates tonight!
Bobby did he fail his blood test?...or not want to take them? Buster 007 Just so you know all incoming fighters must have blood work done EDIT: Just saw AUS-BOXING's post
yes its pathetic. as was quoted, why come all the way here if u r not going to have the test that u know HAS to happen?
Ok. Lets let it rest until further news reports come forth. :good Ash... see above.. :good:good Fight results coming shortly. :good:good:good
Does card start in 2 hours?? It's extremely bad card now. 2 more were dropped off as some of the fighters stood in at New Zealand bout last week and both lost.
