Maco, maybe you should think before you speak instead of telling others to do the same. I never said Chauncy was top 50, I dont believe he is Top 50 at the moment. Yes I was disappointed he wouldnt fight my guy, but we are over that now and actually get along quite well with Team Cameron but you wouldnt know that because you dont have a clue whats going on behind the scenes so once again think before you speak.

Both Shane and Mark are good fighters, the two best in Australasia at the moment in my opinion although Mark has yet to fight Wilson or Mirovic but both of them are on the way out. However being the best in australasia is a long way away from being anything in the states let alone the world!

Ozziebattler, perhaps you should read the forum more i post more than just on Cameron topics. however iam very opinionated regarding Shane Cameron, its just that every sports journalist and anyone to do with the media in NZ have jumped on him like hes the next biggest thing............the Ahunanya fight showed he can mix it up with a Solid B level heavyweight whos well passed his prime and nothing more than a Las Vegas sparring partner, but isnt good enough to beat him. It's not about being negative its about being realistic, i like Shane I get along with the bloke, and have been present at training sessions of his.

if it helps you sleep better Ozziebattler I have had conversations with shane about similar things to what i have posted on here about him, we then went and had a few beers together after his Jucimar Hopolito Farce.......i mean fight.

And whats the go with the whole Mark and Shane not being anywhere up to the level to make a splash in the states??

Who gives a **** about the states??Tell me how many yanks currently own heavyweight titles??

Tell me in the past 10years who has been the dominant players in the heavyweight division??

Hello fellers, my friend with the large mouth and the "Tommy Morrison "Avatar has some problem handling the Cameron loss . Friday stole victory from defeat and he seems to find comfort in saying cuts were Shanes failings, but Shane was knocked off his feet twice and stopped by the referee.. Shane never did anything before that fight and now he is back to fighting his jimmy no names again. Friday may never make champ but at least he exchanged punches in a respectful level of competition like Sultan, Lyachovich, Povetkin, Guinn and Whittaker. We were overlooked by Camerons people and after the fight they even seemed a little bitter about how Friday was ranked extremely low and should have been placed a lot higher, which tells me that they thought once again they had a patsy to yet again pad his record.. Shane should have done what Gary Shaw suggested and tried to launch himself in the US to start making proper waves. The United states have not been a force in the heavyweights in a very long time, probably since your guy Morrison was at his peak. Shane seems a good man and i hope he gets on track but he has to start fighting at a level that push his boundaries. Beating Big Bob doesn't cut it. I feel bad that you seem it neccesary to name call everyone because you find it hard handling Camerons loss too well, But don't blast everyone because they have been somewhere and Shane hasn't.. Tua was one of the best heavyweights in the world at one point and even if he doesn't return to be close to somewhere near his former self, he strived out of his comfort zones to become a major player.. Good luck to shane and i hope he becomes a diamond in a snowstorm one day and then you may acheive your hard on my friend, Have a wondeful day.. God bless..

Good luck in the Mark de whatever fight.

i havent seen any of mark but looking at his level of opposition id say shane beats him fairly early on. i have been impressed by cameron in the fights i've seen but do think he will get get beat by the top fighters
would like to see him if he could maybe drop down to cruiserweight

    Excellent post Bigcat.

Mark has the right idea hes had half as many fights as Shane but at least hes already looking to get himself into the US market. thats where any half decent white heavy with a punch should be heading because your marketable there.

Shane lost to a Las Vegas sparring partner is Ahunanya, he has beaten no one of any credential yet and probably never will...........hes a kiwi and ima proud kiwi to but its about facing facts! Just like the Black Caps wont be beating the cheating aussie cricket team in a test anytime soon, or Mundine actually fighting someone with a pulse

I think Shane has to start looking at the bigger picture and return to basics without the bravado he had prior to the Ahunanya fight.. He has tools but without the stage to showcase them he has to sharpen them against more reknowned fighters on higher profile shows.. The thing Cameron did wrong against Ahunanya regardless of the horrible cuts was simply , when in a crisis you have to remain calm to survive, he became almost stricken with shock and alarmed everyone .. The cuts were superficial but his mind blank, he lost all concept of awareness. Friday was behind yet remained focussed on the job.. he completed the job he started with constant pressure. One day Shane may be comfortable with his all rounded skills, i have no doubts he will come again but its up to him how committed he wants to be.. stepping from his comfort zone is a must.. God Bless..
