Mark de mori is crap. just saw his spar with shane cameron. shane was all over him. he was lucky that shane didnt finish him off
I think de Mori is a great fighter I'd like to see him more active and fighting bigger names in Aus like Big Col Wilson, Briggs or Pat Kennedy I think alot of people would like to see those fights. and I know for a fact that 2/3 of those blokes would love a crack at de Mori and Col has probably never heard of the bloke and doesn't care but he'll fight him anyway.
its only a spar, you dont know the conditions like if mark was in fighting shape, if he was preparing for a fight or if shane was, there is too many different scenarios thats why its called sparring so both fighters can gain something from it....
it has been frustrating fighting once this year, but getting visa and going to usa has put stuff on hold, i should fight before the end of the year in the usa, this is the first year i have been able to train seriously , last year (cameron sparring) i was training myself and admittedly was not really going places doing so but thanks to sponsors i have now improved out of sight with proper training, i have never claimed to be anything special i just train fight and do my best, hope fully you guys realise as a 25 year old with 11 ams i have plenty of time to reach my peak and support me on my goal to be the oz tommy morrison and be involved in some awesome slugfests in the big smoke
http://www.boxrec.com/ratings.php?country=AU&sex=M&division=Heavyweight&status=A&SUBMIT=Go while i dont agree with the ratings as i shouldnt be n umber 2 based on my competition, look at the ages of the top guys and you will see why dkp bothered with me,not many young prospects around
mark, I always wondered what happened to you this last year. I'm rooting for you bro, keep on training hard bro, I wish you the best. If you are ever in the south florida area let me know man Ill go watch you train/fight.
darthmage, is warriors boxing in florida? they seem to have alot of heavyweight shows so maybe i will get there
I haven't seen it yet but Who cares anyway. A less experienced fighter taking on a much more experienced fighter in Cameron. Mark has said that he had a pretty limited amatuer career. His record is pretty good considering. Sparring is great for learning, not to go out and prove something.
mark you are exactly right at 25 your young, you have still a few good years where you can continue learning and improving untill you get to about 30-31 then youll really need to be fighting strong opposition if your going anywhere, i think some people dont realise that in the heavyweight division that there is no real young guys under 25, yes there is the odd occasion but most at the top are older, more experienced and more seasoned pro's this is why it would take time for soemone like yourself mark to fight someone like that, there experience alone would cause problems in a fight...
