Mark Heffron is a 5'11 23 year old Super Middleweight with a 9-0 7 KO's record. Born and Fighting out of Oldham, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom. Best known for beating down Amir Khan at the Wild Card Gym at the tender age of 17, which supposedly really impressed Freddie, Heffron who comes from a boxing family, his father was a boxer the late 70's and his brothers box as well, he has won ABA Jr. and several tournaments as a youth in England. Its been rumored that he's a tad bit of a trouble maker but hopefully he'll be able to get his head straight and not get caught up in any real bad shenanigans and try to keep focused on his career, because he's a pretty talented kid. His fighting style lacks finesse, he's a hard charging at times pressure fighter, with decent skills and he certainly attempts to live up to his nickname. How far will he go, who knows but he's one of quite a few new British SMW's hoping to carry on the tradition of Calzaghe and Froch and their domination of the division, while he's not quite as good as DeGale, Smith, or Groves, he's about the same level as Rocky Fielding and since he's young hopefully he will continue to improve. Anyone know what's going on with this lad? In terms of promotion or personal life? Heard he has some sort of attitude problem? Real shame, talented fighter in a red hot division, domestically and internationally.
Seen him box in Dublin last year, unreal talent, his carear seems very stop start though, he should move to America with his Irish heritage he could be huge .
Yeah it is shame but I've heard he's too busy hanging about with nutters and he's into the gang culture lifestyle.... he's supposedto be a trouble maker with an attitude problem, seems to be more bothered over his street cred than his boxing career
top lad , good fighter love how he will fight anywhere he is at the local gym round our way will be a force in the near future
War Manchester! Like the rest of Northern England we're pretty good at producing tough, gritty fighters with world class heart but sadly not world class talent. Heffron's more of the same, though he should find himself near the top end of the domestic scene. Still be fun to watch him grow though, and you know you're gonna get your money's worth.
Bro heffron looks the real deal Manchester produce great talent... its one if the best boxing cities in the world. Tyson Fury will be back, Scott Quigg is a top fighter, Terry Flanagan, Anthony Crolla, Hughie Fury, Hosea Burton, etc. Marcus Morrison looks a very good talent, Zelfa Barrett, Sam Hyde, Jack Massey etc
