Mark Heffron vs Jason Welborn

Fantastic. We get to see how good Heffron really is, as Welborn will keep coming forward testing him.

 

Welborn game as they come but if you were Heffron you couldn't really ask for a better opponent to win a British title.

I have seen Mark up close sparring and training he is unbelievably powrrful , I think he stops Welborn around round 9.

 

Good test this.. exactly what Mark needs but also one he can win.
Welborn is has been in with some good fighters and lately he's been a bogeyman for the type guys with a few questions over them like Morrison...He will be in marks face as long as he's vertical. That said I really do think Hefferon can really hit and he usually looks in great condition so if he can cope with the pressure he should get a stoppage and a nice profile boost to

I thinking more stylistically suits Mark. I think Mark will be to much for him.

 

Anyone know if this is a mandatory defence? or is Welborn just really brave..

 

I think heffron will stop him -- looked good but hasnt been tested much so far. Clearly has power

dont know what to make of heffron. has been a pro for such a Long time...…...8 years but has never faced anyone who can Punch a bit.
welborn for some strange reason seems to have found a Punch. and he is Fighting better than before. if heffron wins, he will have proven his worth.

how far do you guys think he can go???

 

Imo welborn has killed himself trying to make welter then light middle. He seems to have found the right balance now and has had some financial backing which makes a massive difference.
Not seen much of hefferon but he impressed me against Robinson who I know and is one tough lad. Good test for him but hope welborn pulls it off.

 

I think Jason Wellborn wins this one on points. I don’t rate Heffron at all - and think he fails in his first step up.

 

I have a friend who's sparred Mark a couple of times, he says he has power but it does drop off after a few rds.
He did say that he was always weary of getting caught clean by Mark. My friend is slightly heavier as well, lhw
