    Hope it was just a sulk and will be back in the new year ... Fingers crossed

    Looking at his Facebook his focus is elsewhere

    At least he retired as a champion. Good for him.
    He had a really though run, but it was solid for the OPBF level.

    Was hoping for a rematch with Inoue at some point ...but if that is that, bon voyage, Journeyman. It was a good career.

    Yap has said he's not retired, but his contract has expired and he's returned to the Philippines to be with his sick parents. Seems like Mutoh aren't aware his contract is up (so some miscommunication). Mr Edagawa, the promoter, said something along the lines of "he said he quit because his neck hurt and went back to the Philippines", could be interesting to see how this develops, hopefully doesn't keep Yap out of the ring for long.
