Well a chin he's got. No question about that. I think it's a question of can he come in at a better weight than his last fight. I would like him to come in at least ten pounds lighter. More than that and it makes me worry that he over trained.

I'm pulling for Solis and feel he has a better chance than the latest contenders Vitali has faced. Nothing against Vitali, I respect him for being a great champ who has always been professional in and out the ring. Vitali is a prime example of what a dedicated champ should be, but it's time to pass the torch.

Solis good be a decent fighter but he chooses to be a fat, lazy, slob. I don't consider Vitali great or any thing but he is solid, but when you're a strong 6'8 250, and the best fight out there is a guy 7 inches shorter but he still outweighs you by 20 lbs, just highlights the sad state of HW boxing today. Vitali by wide UD or late stoppage, Solis is a joke.

Well, Solis looks the same as the Austin fight right now. That would put him around 260. He definitely has time to lose the weight, my guess is that if he is serious about this fight, he'll come into the fight in the 240s.

However, I think even the 240s will be too heavy for Solis (just watch the Julius Long fight were Solis was 247). Vitali is just too good, even at just a few months shy of 40.

With the weight, you just never really know until the weigh-in. Remember all the videos Shannon Briggs was posting about how he was 248lbs....well, he turned up at the weigh in at 262. Of course Briggs isn't as fat as Solis, and he's also quite a bit taller with a LOT more muscle...but extra weight is extra weight, it's still detrimental.

My same answers. But the next guy or no, the next guy or diffinitely the next guy. The brothers have to reitre and when they do, who is going to step up and bring some excitement to the HW division? There is no one in sight for right now. Haye will be gone according to him by October.

I dont see it happening. Solis is slow and plodding. Vitali has a field day with guys like this. Solis will be swinging for the fences and will catch nothing but air. The problem with today's heavyweight is that they dont stress conditioning. Guys like Arreola, Briggs, think they could beat people with their size. But, when they get tired, that is when the conditioned guys take over.

this is why i dont get the modern HW division.

its clear Vitali is starting to slip ( he is still very dangerous but not what he was ) So with that in mind why wouldnt you turn up in the shape of your life and give yourself a chance to take advantage of his ageing body ?

Instead Solis is so heavy and slow even a 40yr old Vitlai should be able to keep up.

    I dont understand

Seriously doubt Solis can get in Vitalis face and close the distance, Vit has too much to keep him off him. Solis is gonna take some serious punishment just hope his corner pull him.

Aren't you that guy who serially hates the Klitschkos for some unfathomable reason that makes no sense to any sane homo sapien living outside the confines of a mental asylum?
