Mark "Too Sharp" Johnson inducted over Donald Curry

Too Sharp didn't dissapoint the fans and boxing public by losing in the fashion Donald did to Honeyghan and McCallum. Maybe that is the reason. People didn't have the expectations of Johnson they had of Curry who was said to be in line to fight the Hagler and Hearns and Duran level fighters. Then he lost and blew it all and never fought those guys.

 

What about Wilfredo Vazquez

 

He will be, I mean, he has to get in if Marlon Starling is.

Vazquez and Hamed will eventually get in too.

 

Starling was inducted? Are you sure??? he was good but no Hall of Famer.

 

Starling isn't in the IBHOF.

Vasquez will. Hamed didn't do that much. He was really a lot of hype in a short career. I would put McGuigan over Hamed easily.

Every time the inductions roll around, poor old Barry's name gets brought up as the yardstick for low standards.

Starling hasn't been inducted, but if we're going by ability, he should be a hall of famer imo. Just doesn't have the resume to really appeal to the voters unfortunately.
