What are your thoughts on Too Sharp? He's one of my favorite fighters to watch at the lower weight division. Very skilled boxer who was the complete package; Fast, could box, punch, slug, fight either outside or inside, great jab, excellent combination and counter puncher, and very slick. He had a style that was so pleasing to watch.
Just recently I came across videos of Johnson in his prime, for those who are curious. He really did live up to his nickname "Too Sharp."

Mark "Too Sharp" Johnson was a great fighter with terrific skills and the best flyweight of his day who richly deserved his induction into the International Boxing Hall of Fame. I enjoyed to watch him and many other smaller fighters in action much more than the current crop of top heavyweights, who are a great cure for insomnia.

I still have my collection of Mark Johnson fights. In private he was a very bad guy, but in the ring he was great.

loved mark , one of the most unheralded fighters of recent times , never got the big money fights in his prime , tapia and romero avoided him like the plague ...remember an unknown rafael marquez shocking him on points, but was never the same fighter after he went to jail... in his prime he had it all !

It's a shame that guys like Tapia, Romero, Carbajal, and Lopez avoided him and that he never had the chance to fight any of them. Would have had a greater legacy if he had any of those names on his record.
How do you think he would have done against them?

One of the best little fighters i have ever seen he had it all speed, power, defense, chin, footwork etc, Skillwise he was great but his resume doesnt match his incredible skills, he should and could have achieved more in his career but unfortunately he couldnt get the big fights he wanted (Him against Arbachakov or Tapia would have been superb). I was happy to see him get inducted in the IBHOF but in my opinion he didnt deserved to be a first ballot hall of famer i think theres guys that have been in the voting ballot for some years now that deserved to get in ahead of him.
