    I think the fight is being promoted enough, outside of a multi city tour I don't think there is much more they could do. They hype the fight on ESPN, HBO, Showtime, NBC, CBS, Spike and ESPN2/Depotes,etc. What more do you want? Oprah to hype it on OWN??? :patsch

    One thing I think they overestimated was the PPV price. All of my friends are reaching out trying to find out where they can go watch the fight. Most times alot of these ppl would just buy it and host at home. $100 is going to lead to ALOT of buyer consolidation. When you have 4 ppl who would have paid $70 each now combining and paying $100 total you're going lose out

    The fight promotion is social media
    This thread alone is promotion for the fight
    The fact it's being talked about on Facebook Twitter and all the forums is promoting the fight
    Without even realising it you have just promoted the fight by starting this thread

    Maybe I expected something else. I was in elementary school during the Tyson - Spinks buildup. Every kid was talking about this fight pre-fight. Heck the teachers were talking about this fight. The bus drivers were. My whole family was. Everyone was. There was no one NOT talking about this fight.

    When I see my kids hang out with kids from school, Floyd vs. Pacman is a non-topic. They heard of them sure, but have zero interest. I asked my son if anyone at school talks about the fight "Dad don't be ridiculous".

    LOL I mean wtf? Wasn't this fight supposed to be a big deal? Maybe I just expected too much.

    They hyped Floyd vs. Canelo on the same exact networks. Floyd - Pac doesn't really stand out does it?

    A bunch of amateurs are promoting the fight. That's what's happening.

    If this fight flops, you can blame the lead promoters of the fight.

    You guys handle emotions like little girls. This fight sells itself. If you dont believe me, checj the Yahoo page, everyday they have like 3 or 4 topics about the fight. On the radio all I hear about is the fight, my friends at work talk about how they going to watch it or what they are doing the day of the fight (some of them make it sound like is thanksgiving). This is actually a world event.
    And who cares how many people see it. I only care about how im going to watch it.

    How am I a Pac**** when I keep saying since day 1 Floyd will win this and easily so. I am a boxing fan first and foremost and maybe I got carried away with this fight being a modern day Thrilla in Manilla. I was hoping I could whitness the atmosphere and excitement of a historic fight. It just seems to be like a whole big nothing. Just like any other Floyd fight.

    Not Floyd's mistake, maybe I just expected too much and wanted this to be bigger than it actually is.

    the fight is still days away man....

    i think once you turn on that ppv and the crowd starts to fill in and they show them arriving to the arena and in the dressing room youll start to feel it man......these days with the internet, and access to info or anything, at the palm of our hands its not as easy to get worked up into a frenzy over something.....this fight is as big as it gets and it will be big

    HBO At Last was the best part of all this so far.


    Mayweather promotions is a joke. This should have been left to the pros like Top Rank

    they could have been more involved but the walked away from 50-50 and a drug test years ago...and then got ktfo by jmm...so now theyre just a b-side:shock:
