    At their best..Which I suppose would be the more mature 87,88 Starling against the Forrest who beat Mosley??

    Nice matchup. I'll take Starling as well, as I believe he was the better defensive fighter as well as the better in-fighter, while Forrest holds the edge in power. I think Starling was the smarter fighter and the more consistent and would give Forrest problems getting anything significant going. Starling by close UD.

    Make that 3 votes for Starling. At his best Starling would beat any of today's welters.

    I'd also make a peak Starling the favorite over the welters of the late 90s in Trinidad, Mosley, Quartey, and De La Hoya (this might be a controversial decision).
