I just heard the sad news Marlon Starling 66 has been admitted to a nursing home due to dementia. Marlon was a defensive master who retired at 31. This is very sad news. Sadden to hear this. Marlon was a hell of a fighter. Looked like he wasn´t ever going to be champion due to losses Don Curry, Pedro Villela and Johnny Bumphus. Cameback with terrific wins over future champions Simon Brown, Lupe Aquino and touted prospects Jose Baret (ruined him), Tommy Ayers and Floyd Mayweather Snr before destroying Mark Breland in a huge upset. His one-sided destruction of Lloyd Honeyghan after the Tomas Molinares was incredible. Gutted.
