The only actual pro boxing match on this combat sports card in Cambodia, which otherwise mostly appeared to be kickboxing.

 

This is for the WBC Asian Continental title at 122lbs, first defense of the Maranding Nightmare.

 

The southpaw Filipino is dominating, banging up the body and head of "The Indian Mayweather" (a nickname given to him pejoratively by some of his countrymen in the chat). Kumar attempting to do a Philly shell and shrimp away from shots on the ropes.

 

Very weird commentary - it's a Brit (or Aussie?) yelling through what appears to be the venue's PA loudspeaker, with some feedback and echo.

 

I don't like that Bayan TV often starts its commercial breaks with 10-15 seconds left in the round and resumes the action half a minute into the next.

 

Complete shutout for Tapales so far. Kumar at least showing an iron body, as some of these digs from Tapales have been spiteful.

Kumar was stopped in his only previous step up (a year ago this coming Tuesday) against Chinese southpaw Zhong Liu.

 

There's really not much of anything to report on here.

Tapales just murdering the body and Kumar somehow taking it and fleeing around the ring.

Once in a while Tapales will send in a high line drive left and Kumar will ride it, dipping his long torso backward.

80-90% of the shots landed in the fight have been Tapales body shots, easily.

 

Kumar's internal organs getting pureed and he's no-selling it.

 

One-sided doesn't even begin to describe this. How is Kumar still hanging around? It sure isn't his goofy mimicry of American "slickness". He's getting walloped, over and over - just...to no effect.

 

Tapales pitching a very clear shutout but has to be questioning his own manhood a bit. Punching holes through Kumar's midsection but hasn't ever looked close to knocking him down.

 

Kumar is simultaneously the worst but also toughest fighter I've seen in quite some time.
