I don't know if anyone is familiar with this guy, but I recall seeing him fight many years ago against a similarly unheralded fighter by the name of Stevie Thomas. Have never spoken to anyone else who saw this bout, which I believe had some extra needle to it as both were after local 'bragging rights.' In a barnstormer, both guys hit the deck, with Marlon showing a spiteful streak in some of his flagrant breaches of the rules, with Stevie going on to win a titanic struggle by the closest of margins. The defeat notwithstanding, I saw 'star' potential in Marlon's performance, but he never really went on to hit the big time the way I thought he might. Stevie T. disappeared off the boxing scene fairly soon thereafter, while Marlon fought on for another 10 or 12 years, fighting - but usually losing at - a fairly high level.(He may even have fought for a 'World' title?) I strongly recommend its' viewing if you ever get the chance to watch it - A real pity there was never a rematch....
......and I thought this site attracted boxing 'afficionados.' Just a bunch of fools who've been told by their dad that Duran was God!
