    he's had Marquez promotions ofr a while..the fight by Mayweather was partly promoted by Marquez promotions...

    Being a promoter is a real struggle to begin with, so lets hope he succeeds.

    Much rather see him back in the ring though

    The photographer is sending me video of the press conference. I asked him if Marquez is gonna fight at 135 or 140 so I am waiting on an answer from him.

    From what I understand him and Hatton are gonna fight... Hatton is trimming down

    Hatton denied the rumor that they were going ot fight...i dont htink hed be able to be mentally there after that 2nd round k.o.

    How could I forget he is fighting Diaz at 135 this summer..

    I would actually like to see Juan Marquez retire. Maybe a farewell fight against somebody he is for sure to beat. Marquez is past his prime. He should hang 'em up.

    I think its for tax purposes.

    I think GBP and Top Rank advise their top fighters to create corporations who will co-promote their own fights.

    I think they take home more money that way. Less taxes go out of their total fight purse, somehow.

    Oh yes when you structure things correctly...the fighter saves money by being able to write off expenses before taxes.

    Not to mention the extra layer of protection from risk.
