if they do fight, i doubt it will be at 140... pac fits in perfectly into 147 (even though marquez) doesnt...and it would be more lucrative if it was for a belt (which pac has one at 147)

i'm not upset at them setting up a bout already without having won this upcoming one against mosley... i just think it might be too pre-mature to look that far and underestimating mosley.... mosley isn't quite as good as he was a few years ago, but he's no walk in the park bum or anything either.

Silly *****s still grasping at straws.
Step back a bit now and realize how immensely stupid it is to defend a fighter that's not even ACTIVE, not by circumstance but simply by his own choice.

Hold on, let that sink in for a while...

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is not fighting ANYONE. He's on an extended vacation pending permanent retirement.

Now go do yourselves a favor and quit bringing up an IRRELEVANT fighter to the scene.
He's getting removed in the p4p ranking FYI.
Erik Morales is more relevant than him,TBH.

JMM on the other hand, has a lot to offer still.
Not as great physically before but the heart is still there.
I'd like to see him mix up with the boys at JrWW and then call out Pac to the division so he (JMM) can be silenced once and for all.

Bob Arum is crazy. I remember not to long ago when he said Pac would not fight Marquez because he was to small. What happened? Bob keeps doing this every time. When the very first negotiations happened he already had Clottey lined up for Pac. Then while promoting Pac vs Clottey he was trying to get Marg as an opponent for the fall. Now before the Mosley fight he wants Marquez in the fall. I question whether either Floyd or Arum want the fight.

he dident sign with mosley after margo straight awy

i remember the period of everyone debating against the 3 opponents that pac was going to choose from.

everyone was wanting marquez but we got mosley so its only fitting marquez is next unless PBF is open

He's not afraid of needles, but if you liken drawing blood to having tattooed then no one, even a heavily tattooed Cotto would allow himself to be tattoed day of the fight.

WTF :patsch. You really have it in your head that team Pac is the one who doesn't want the fight?

Who's on vacation? Who's demanding additional drug tests aside from the one mandated by the commissions? who's demanding $100 million?

How do you negotiate a fight with somebody who's not even interested in fighting anyone? Even Roger doesn't know when Floyd plans to fight or if he even plans to fight ever again.

The issue is that JMM has not given himself a reasonable amount of time to develop into a good welterweight. He was a lightweight that jumped two divisions for this first fight at welter, and against the one of the best, if not the best boxers.

He would look the same if he fought Pac at 147 lbs. now. If he wanted to be competitive, JMM should have jumped to Jr. welter, and then welter to get used to the weight, if he physically could at his age.

What is the point of having a one-sided ass kicking by having JMM come up to 147?

Who cares about a title when you have a Pac-Marquez fight at below 147 lbs.? I know JMM probably doesn't care about a title if it means he can fight Pac. The only people that get all wet over the number of titles Pac has are morons. It doesn't mean ****. Pac would be just as great had he won 4 or 5.

You also don't need a title bout to promote a Pac-JMM fight either. All you have to do is show highlight reels of Pac-JMM I & II. That alone get's most casual fans interested: the only fighter to have posed the mighty Pac some threat is back.

Of course people are going to say: "Pac is on a different level now," and "JMM is too old now." Yeah, but JMM is not getting any younger and he has shown he's still good based on his most recent fights, and Mayweather is practically on retired.
